Buy all the high capacity mags you can get your hands on, and I mean now!! You may also want to look at buying some weapons for investment. Buy some AR-15 type rifles as an investment for around $900 and put them away without shooting them. Make sure they have all of the "assault weapon" characteristics. Wait until 5 or so years after the "Assault Weapons" Ban goes into place and start selling those rifles for $1,700+. I saw some of them going for $2,500 4 years after the 1994 gun ban.

What I have always found amusing is that the gun ban compliant weapons were functionally no different than the pre-ban weapons, but the term "pre-ban" would drive the price up like crazy, and people will pay it!

PS: Be sure to keep a pre-ban rifle for yourself as they tend to give you some status among the folks out on the range.

This is horrible legislation and I hope it does not pass but I did make some serious spending money on Glock magazines after the last one.

The Dems now know the mistakes they made with the previous AWB. They banned what they could see, which was ridiculous features such as bayonet lugs and flash hiders.

The next AWB will be different. They will just outright ban most any semi-auto that can possibly have a hi-cap magazine connected to it. They won't fool around with bayonet lugs.

I also look for them to ban surplus arms and ammo. Yes, all of the affordable military caliber ammo. Kennedy, Schumer and Biden will whip out the old "armor-piercing" ammo argument that all these rifle rounds can pierce a kevlar vest. If they have a Dem Congress and a Dem President, bye bye to affordable shooting.

I also fear they will bring back the "arsenal" argument so that if you have a few rifles or a whole case of ammo, you should be regulated like an arms dealer.

There is simply no end to the infringement these people will wreak if there is no one to stop them. I agree, buy all your toys and ammo before the next election.

All I have for "assault" rifles is my SKS that I LOVE. I went yesterday at lunch to buy some plinking ammo for it cause was gonna go shooting this weekend if the weather holds up.

Three stores, all out of stock. One store I bought their last two boxes they have had, I picked em up back in December.

Afraid I'm gonna have to buy a new rifle just so I can find ammo for it but a sidearm was first on my priority list since I already had a servicable rifle in the SKS.

Sigh...wife is going to be angry

Gimme a break.

Real status comes from hitting your target no matter what you shoot.

Except maybe among posers.

It ain't about status, nor is it about hunting.
