In case you didn't notice, the ban stayed in affect even though it lapsed. The BATF makes its own laws without regard to Congress. Just look around, you will find that nothing can be imported now that was on the ban list. In fact, more has been banned since the bill expired.

You actually believe that we are running a Republic here, don't you?

We haven't been a Republic since before the New Deal. Things are just playing out now to their logical conclusions.

Where's that reset switch at?

Different bans. Import is one thing, domestic manufacture is something else. The expired AWB was the latter.
