Reagan picked Sandra Day O'Connor for the U.S. supreme court.
Reagan picked Bay Buchanan to be treasurer of the United States of American. Yet you'll see no love for conservative Bay Buchanan or her conservative brother Patrick.
Reagan was the greatest modern president, but he is hardly infallible. And I bet if he were still alive he wouldn't endorse Giuliani.

Rudy's campaign is moving thru the nation like Rollin' Thunder. All the turkeys better get out of the way. Eleven months is an eternity in politics. Howard Dean went from frontrunner to footnote in a matter of weeks.

The Giuliani campaign should emphasize its candidate's independence from traditional national Republican policies. But now Rudy seeks national Republican office. And has the gall to try and wrap Reagan's mantle around his shoulder as his supporters trash Reagan's legacy on FR. What hypocrites.

"Reagan hired Rudy, you know." This just proves that Reagan either had a lapse in judgment or his staff did a really poor job of vetting Rudy Giuliani.

If you spent as much time working for the candidate of your choice instead of bashing Rudy, perhaps you might get somewhere. Giuliani is a pro-partial birth abortion liberal who deserves everything I give him and more.
None of the actual Republican candidates in the race have much of a chance until the liberal frontrunners get knocked out and we must knock them out early. I know that's a long shot, but conservative Republicans need to do their part to make that happen. The playing field needs to be levelled so that those who actually follow the Party Platform have a chance.
There's a lot more in the works amongst conservative Republican Party activists to take down Giuliani. Count on it and watch Rudy's GOP poll numbers dive as this election progresses.

The Reagan administration hired and appointed many people. Some were moderates like Sandra Day O'Conner, some libertarian-conservatives like Jean Kirkpatrick, and even a few liberals like Rudy Giuliani.
Since Reagan hired Rudy to two different positions, I should vote for Rudy. That is absurd. Outrageous. Rudy worked for Gerald Ford too. BFD. Rudy is a liberal. As a conservative, I would never consider voting for a liberal.

Given the fact that Ronald Reagan was pro choice before he began running for President, I'd say your hysterics are unwarranted...to say the least.

You boys who hate Rudy so vehemently crack me up.
You remind of some of the old men at my golf club - they can't play a lick, they hate their wives, they hate themselves, and all they do - all day long is b_tch about how life has short changed them.
Sad angry (very old) men.
But - fun to watch - you make the rest of us glad we're not you - or living your life.

Reagan hired Rudy, you know. And after he worked for Reagan he set to trashing him and distancing himself from him when he ran for Mayor of NYC. He can't lay claim to anything to do with Reagan given his betrayal and his anti-Reagan/un-Republican views.

The former mayor, who Vice President Cheney joked the other night is after his job, vigorously defended the President on his post-9/11 leadership but made clear he disagrees with Bush's proposal to rewrite the Constitution to outlaw gays and lesbians from tying the knot. Ahem, that would be "amend" not rewrite...
There is a difference.

This over-the-top foaming at the mouth is kindof amusing.
Once it's down to one candidate, what are you going to do? Vote for Hillary just to show off how mad you are?

I was responding to post #1. Freedom matters to me. Including the freedom to do things that you and others disapprove of(s).For example, kill unborn babies.

Now post a REAGAN pic with Duncan HunterHow can we possibly argue with that? A photo with the Gipper is the key criteria for evaluating who should be the nominee in 2008.

Freedom has be relegated to lip service status, to be dusted off and brought out of the closet each election year, and then put away and forgotten.

Right out of the Clinton playbook. If you can't deflect valid criticism, just call your opponents haters so you don't have to answer the criticism.
