An allied withdrawal timetable from Iraq is al-Qa'ida's primary goal
THE one thing no one is saying about Prime Minister John Howard's remarks is they are obviously right. Asked about US Senator Barack Hussein Obama's plan to withdraw all US forces from Iraq by March 31, 2008, Howard replied: "If I were running al-Qa'ida in Iraq, I would put a circle around March 2008 and pray as many times as possible for a victory not only for Obama, but also for the Democrats."
Certainly al-Qa'ida agrees. After the November 2006 elections handed control of the US Congress to the anti-war Democrats, al-Qa'ida's leader in Iraq gloated in an audio-taped message: "The American people have taken a step in the right path to come out of their predicament, they voted for a level of reason."
Abu Omar al-Baghdad, who heads an al-Qa'ida umbrella group, made the terror group's latest demand for allied withdrawal on February 2: "We order you to withdraw your forces immediately. But the withdrawal must be via troop transport trucks and passenger planes whereby each soldier is allowed to carry his own weapon only. They may not withdraw any of the heavy military equipment, and the military bases must be handed over to the mujahidin of the Islamic state, and the duration of the withdrawal may not exceed a month."

John Howard ... there's a guest you won't see on Screwball.
No wonder the left in the US and Australia hated Steve Irwin. Howard supports the WOT and is anti-left as far as I can tell. Steve supported Howard. I thought some of the lefty wackjob anti Steve reports at the time of his death were crazy given his support of wildlife appreciation. But now it makes sense.
Mr.Howard is spot on. The election of Osama Hussein Obama would embolden the terrorists, and would be met with jubilation by alQaeda fanatics.
Our so called leaders could learn a lot from PM Howard.
Hussein Obama's classy reply says much about him:
"The Democratic presidential hopeful said if the Australian prime minister was "ginned up to fight the good fight in Iraq," he needs to send another 20,000 Australians to the war.
"Otherwise, it's just a bunch of empty rhetoric," Obama said."
He should know about "empty rhetoric".
Not like Obama stands a chance against Clinton's campaign juggernaut. She has the Hollywood nuts funding her, and her "husband"'s political campaign machinery. I'd as much expect to see something like "Obama/Edwards '08" as I would "Kucinich/Gravel '08".
Apparently it is in order for any number of people in the Labor Party to regularly attack George Bush, to regularly attack the American administration. That is OK, but dare anybody criticise somebody who might agree with them on Iraq and then somehow or other I am interfering in the domestic politics of the United States.
Quote: "I think it's flattering that one of George Bush's allies on the other side of the world started attacking me the day after I announced."
HEY OBAMA! AUSTRALIA IS A UNITED STATES ALLY YOU IDIOT. You don't deserve to be POTUS.
"Obama stands a chance against Clinton's campaign juggernaut"
He'd better watch his back! People against the Clintons have
much bad luck.
bttt
Thanks for the quote. There is a delicious double standard going on here. The left can attack a sitting Republican with impunity, but attack a RAT politico, and all hell breaks lose.
I am so thankful for the tremendous leadership skills and courage of John Howard. He is the Churchill of our times, and like Churchill in the 1930's, Howard is being pilloried by the perceptions of the uneducated. History will deliver a positive verdict on Howard's contribution in defending Western Civilization.
He's even named after him (check my sig quote).
