"We know he is responsible for the death of a lot of people who never hurt him or us."

By that criteria, we can consider Clinton to be one of the worst.

We know he is responsible for the death of a lot of people who never hurt him or us.

The selective memory of the Left. Can you say "Cambodia" for us, Nicholas? How 'bout "Campuchea"?

Didn't think so...

I love James Madison, but I have to admit, letting the Brits burn the capital was pretty bad. I recall reading that he fled the city and Dolly stayed behind? I really love ya, JM, but ouch, that hurts.

Imagine the president fleeing the White House. It seems crazy to say JM was worse than Carter, and JM had already accomplished so much, but man, that's rough.

How about the Three Stooges composed of FDR, LBJ, and Carter? You can't get much worse than those idiots.

Woe be unto this nation if we ever have a president more incompetent.

Yep. Thirty years later and we are still paying for Jimmuh's blunders......

I often quote George Will on this matter:

"It's too early to say 'Clinton was the worst president ever', but

he was certainly the worst man to ever be president."

No. Hell in the last thirty years we've had two who were far worse.

How The Nation can write so many words on the subject of the worst president, and not mention Jimmy Carter, tells you all you need to know about The Nation.

Yeah, LBJ may have been worse than Carter. LBJ was more efective. But he was effective at saddling us with a load of socialist crap. Carter pretty much accomplished nothing. What did he accomplish?

Respectfully, I just can't see myself ever paying any attention to anything written in the Nation. I mean, they have a circulation of about what? 1000?

Carter ... Carter ... Anyone?

On the plus side, he [Grant] was the last President until Lyndon Johnson who would go to bat for black people.

Well, there was that incident of Eisenhower federalizing the National Guard to enforce integration of some schools, but since Eisenhower is a Republican that doesn't count.

"Is George Bush the worst President in American history?"

No, I think that esteemed honor would more likely be bestown upon the likes of Carter, Johnson, or FDR.

Excellent distinction!

Jimmah Carter was the worst President and ex-President, while Bubba Clinton was the worst person to become President. Great point!

Remember when Jimmy carter was in Poland, and his horrible accent was translated incorrectly? Instead of hearing that "America's desire is for the Polish democracy to succeed", the Polish people heard something like "Americans desire the bodies of the Polish people!" LOL! The poor translator got the blame, but Jimmy Carter is the one who mumbled the lines without moving his lips.

It's filled with hatred; virtually every article was "here's another reason for us super-smart people to hate conservatives and President Bush."

I call it United States National High School, where the Cool Kid Democrats constantly beat up on the Retard Kid Republicans. It gets tiresome.

Carter pretty much accomplished nothing. What did he accomplish?

Fall of Shah and the Iranian revolution of the ayatollahs.

The dawning of the age of "malaise"

Soviet empire rampant worldwide

An awakening of the American public and a turn to Ronald Reagan.
