Rudy and his positions have been out there longer than some Senators and congressmen.

Those are all relatively old polls. In particular, I think they overstate McCain's current level of support. He's been dropping rather quickly in recent weeks.

An actual chart put together by a reputable team of statisticians that point out the true facts?Yes, a chart put together by the Giuliani campaign that omits the 11 states where he is behind.

Can you be a conservative, but not a Christian? Of course.

Steffen Schmidt, a political scientist at Iowa State University. He said he recently met with a key player in the state GOP, which has long been dominated by the Christian right, only to hear positive comments about Giuliani.
Interesting!

You are right, McCain has been dropping a bit - Romney has been doing better and Rudy is consistently the same.

This site is becoming a one note "all Rudy all of the time", yet no Rudy thread seems to ever be deleted unlike threads about other potential Pub candidates. What threads about other candidates have been deleted?

No candidate threads have been deleted and there are Hunter and Romney ping lists if you are interested. Actually if truth be known for a while Rudy threads were shoved into the Smokey Back Room. No other candidate threads were shoved there. We just recently were able to get the Rudy threads back to News/Activism. SO YOU ARE WRONG tertiary01!

Giuliani's support of abortion rights and gay rights would seem to make him anathema to Christian conservatives but so might McCain's legendary comment that evangelical leaders are "agents of intolerance," and Romney's past support of gay rights.
REPLY:
The real reason McClain lost support with the conservatives is that he turned on a sitting Republican president way to many times.
He supports open borders and give away programs to law breakers.
Every time we conservatives needed someone to stand up for our values McClain was supporting the wrong side of the aisle.

Tons about Tancredo and more than one about Hunter but you already know that. Only RINO candidates get all their threads to stay up, that is, unless their supporters start losing the "debate".

Rudy's first marriage was "annulled" after 14 years. John Kerry has nothing on him. LOL!

I was just on another thread where Rudy supporters were typified as part of the ignorant masses.
It would be funny if it wasn't so pitiful.

JOKE
WHO IS THIS GAL?
Fisherman & Balloonist
A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a fisherman in a boat below. She shouted to him,
"Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes North latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.
She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Republican." "I am," replied the man. "How did you know?"
"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost.
Frankly, you've not been much help to me."
The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Democrat."
"I am," replied the balloonist "How did you know?"
"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you're going.
You've risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air .
You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem.
You're in exactly the same position you were in before we
met, but, somehow, now it's my fault."

There may have been a few threads about things Tancredo said that have been pulled. It wouldn't surprise me, because his threads tend to attract racist comments. But I haven't seen one pulled regarding his candidacy, or any pulled about Duncan Hunter at all.
I think your conclusion that the folks running Free Republic support RINOs as a matter of policy is beyond asinine.

Those figures were gathered before Rudy announced he was a candidate.
Since the many interviews he has done in the past several day he has gained leads in most of those states he was lagging in. California and New York in particular.
Face it, this is a major league candidate with REAL strong possibilities of winning in '08.
