US and Iraqi forces in Baghdad have arrested the deputy health minister during a raid at his offices. The minister, Hakim al-Zamili, is a key member of the political group led by radical Shia cleric Moqtada Sadr.
He is accused of aiding Shia militiamen and using ambulances to move weapons, a ministry source told the BBC.
US and Iraqi troops have been trying to curb sectarian attacks in Iraq. The latest raid came as a car bomb killed at least 17 people south of Baghdad.
A parked car bomb struck a market in the predominantly Shia town of Aziziya, also wounding dozens of people.

Between the Baghdad Security Plan and the Plan of Dignity – Statement from the Islamic State of Iraq Following Up the Speech of Abu Omar al-Baghdadi

Following up the speech of the Emir of the Islamic State of Iraq, Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, from Saturday, February 3, 2007, and titled: “A Conquest from Allah and an Imminent Victory”, the Islamic State issued a statement today, Tuesday, February 6, discussing the American/Iraqi Baghdad security plan and the “Plan of Dignity”. The group argues that at the root of the security plan is an aim to improve the image of the “defeated American soldier” and protect the government of Nouri al-Maliki before its collapses. Concurrent to this scheme, the Shi’ites allegedly desire to strengthen their band around Baghdad to force the eviction of Sunnis, so as to allow Shi’ites to inhabit the area. Also within this plan, the Islamic State argues that the large troop deployment is U.S. President George W. Bush’s “last bet” to achieve victory in the limited time remaining in his term of office.
A summary is presented of the “Plan of Dignity”, announced in Baghdadi’s speech, including the escalation of operations against the “Crusader” army and its followers, and intensifying the work to have other insurgency groups join the Islamic State. Further, the group states that their own special committee was formed, analogous to that of the United States and Iraq, to supervise the progress of the “Plan of Dignity”.

So this creep was taking money meant for the healthcare of the Iraqi people and gave it to someone who killed Iraqi people. I hope his trial is quick.

Do the Tribes need to be disbanded like the Iraqi Army was? Maybe that is what they're being dialogued?
In stage one confrontions, you want the enemy to know you screwed him, but not for him to be able to prove you screwed him to others.
After a while you run out of options on that level, and besides, you want the world to know you are screwing your enemy.
Both sides are ater this new level of confrontation now, we are grabbing higher and higher place Iranian assets in Iraq, Khameinei has openly threatened to "bring Bush to wisdom."
Iran hasn't yet, in my opinion, responded to the Health Ministry kidnapping. In other words, the Iranian statements today are a response to yesterday's Coalition activities.

No, the tribes are just fine. For the most part, the Shiia tribes have been on the side of the US, and now the Sunni tribes are on our side as well. You are NEVER going to disband the tribe. That would be like saying we should disband the American family.
