At the moment the bomb was attached to the undercarriage of his canary-yellow Toyota Land Cruiser, Danilo Anderson was one building away, studying criminalistics at a nearby police academy. The unguarded lot where he had parked was outside the coroner's office in the Caracas neighborhood of Bello Monte. It was after 6:00 p.m. November 18, 2004.
Anderson, a 38-year-old prosecutor with the Venezuelan attorney general's office, finished class around 9:30 p.m. He dropped off his bodyguard at a bus stop and drove down La Avenida de las Ciencias de los Chaguaramos toward the Sambil Mall, where he was supposed to meet a friend. At 9:36 p.m., someone made a cell phone call.
Danilo Anderson blew up.

Anyways, to make a long story short, Patricia Poleo went into hiding and eventually fled to the US. And on Thursday she was granted asylum.
ping for future.
Should there be an "Accident" involving this lady in the US. Chavez should know that can go both ways.
Yeah, thank God that the Chavez regime hasn't advanced to that level yet (like the Castro regime). But it will in time. Apparently she is being very careful about her whereabouts so I have confidence that she will be safe.
But it should also be noted that at this point Chavez doesn't need to kill his opponents. He only needs to imprison them and then cut off media coverage (like he has been doing). The next woman that he is currently targeting is María Corina Machado, the founder of Súmate (an election monitoring group). He has charged Machado with treason. In my opinion the underlying reason for that charge was because Machado received a meeting with President Bush in the Oval Office.
Now that Chavez has full dictatorial powers and media suppression laws already implemented he will be able to take his oppression to the next level. This is the point where it starts to get frightening.
Chavez Ping
1. McCain-Feingold (Venezuela enacted a 30 yr prison sentence for 'defaming' government officials)
2. The "Fairness Doctrine" and "Internet Neutrality" (there is a push to close non-state owned media channels, such as the recent order to close the independent RCTV channel)
These things are a natural evolution of the kind of secular-socialist welfare state that is the top priority of Democrat leadership. Many of the seeds have already been planted.
Fasten your seatbelts. No joke.
Hillary Chavez for President '08!
I wonder who is advising who on their campaigns... ;-)
The more dictatorial and violent Chavez gets the more the U.S. "progressives" will love him.
