Your post is quite convincing and produces a quite logical conclusion: man-made "climate change" is bunk.

But my question is this: Why does anybody believe this crap about global warming?

I'll answer my own question:

1. The people who drive man-made "climate change" know it's a bunch of crap. Instead, they are driven by an anti-capitalist political agenda.

2. Many of the people who believe in this hypotheses believe only because the MSM is promoting it -- exclusive of the facts.

3. The MSM either shares the anti-capitalist political agenda (above) or is too damn dumb to find the facts (much less, follow them).

Because of all these dysfunctions, we are on the verge of policy by hysteria.

Bjorn Lomberg has documented elsewhere, if all the money spent on global warming was spent on the world's real problems, such as eradicatng hunger and disease, we'd be a lot better off. The billions being spent on addressing global warming will not directly improve our quality of life. Its money wasted so the world's jet set can get over their self-induced enviro chrondriac neurosis.

US industry is buckling in order to get on the good side of the mass of regulation and control that they see coming at them. They want to be able to say see? we were on your side all along so give us the licences and monopolies.

It's about money, it's always about money. Get ready to pay a new International Tax for "messing the world up".

Looking after the environment is very important. However, there is no doubt that the Left are using it to try and advance their own agenda. It amazes me how they often pick on Australia because it has not ratified Kyoto. They invariably claim that the current drought and recent bushfires are caused by global warming. The facts are that Australia has always been a land of droughts and floods. As for the bushfires, they have been around so long that some plant species won't germinate unless subjected to fire. As for the temperatures getting hotter, I have never known such a mild summer.

The Canadian Liberal government did ratify Kyoto, and our emissions still went up, even more than they rose in the US in the same time period.

And Australia is one of the few countries that will meet targets set by Kyoto, despite not ratifying same. The Left aren't really about protecting the environment but more about using it to scare people and to advance their own agenda. They are all for big government and governments that perform unnecessary functions. This costs money and means more wealth must be produced. This in turns uses up valuable resources and further degrades the environment. Many are also for curbing the powers of nation states and strengthening the UN. This is frightening.

The one world government. It's coming.

This is frightening.

You're right. It's a money making scheme for the would be despots of our times.....Maurice Strong, Jean Cretchien, Paul Martin etc.

Every one sees it, but no one will name it. The Emperor has no clothes.
