Lawmakers question USCP By Jackie Kucinich and Kelly McCormack

Lawmakers are questioning U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) Chief Phillip Morse about his controversial decision to allow anti-war protesters to spray paint a portion of the Capitol west-front terrace this past weekend.

******

According to a Democratic leadership aide, 50 to 60 protesters, rather than the 300 figure that was reported by The Hill over the weekend, were involved in the act of vandalism, which took place after the main peace march took place.

Where is the shame that anyone one associated with the Democratic leadership, and with this mob in particular, should feel?

Will Jane Fonda apologize?

Seriously, how far will the America-haters go? How low can the Country go?

I'm at a loss as to what the proper response should be, so I'm pinging y'all for ideas.

Should we just let the defacement of our Capitol go? Should we just "move on"?

Kristinn, I know that you were there, and standing for our Nation. This ping is just to be polite and because I know that you are a leader.)

If we had a free press in this country, we could find out who ordered the police withdrawal.

I feel like spray painting the properties of the protestors, ESPECIALLY Jane Fonda.
She sat on Oprah's show and said she was "sorry" for what she did in Viet Nam.
Then she shows up and is a part of this defacing of American public buildings.

She truly cannot change her spots.

It may be time for a road trip to Washington - or maybe a mirror counter-protest in Austin (which my husband would much prefer -- he is happy when I dig my own holes -- it just gets him when I'm sure to need him to pull me out when I get in too deep).

At least some protestors, sometimes, are arrested and punished for illegal activities, according to this article from the Austin American Statesman: "Texas Grandmother sweeps streets of Washington"

I'm speechless. I'm not surprised because these people have no self-respect and defacation is a way of life for them, but I am speechless that the USCP allowed it to happen.

“The officers, who did their job both professionally and courageously, were ordered to withdraw by their officials and let the demonstrators have the area where the graffiti was later discovered.”

It doesn't sound as if they were ordered to withdraw knowing that graffiti was happening, but it does sound as if these people were allowed to "protest" in an area that requires special permission to access. The person who gave that order should be punished as well as those who participated. Their pictures along with the damage done should be hung in the mall for at least 6 months so everyone knows who did this.

When the police won't do their jobs, what is there to say, BLOAT? I'm afraid we're going back to the 60s, as in the 1960s, but maybe the early 1860s as the politics have become more polarized, IMHO, thanks to the loony left.
