John Kerry Slams His Own Country At Davos Jan 27 2007 7:52PM http://sayanythingblog.com/index.php
Heres John Kerry speaking while sitting just a few feet away from Mohammad Khatami, the former President of the Iranian terror state.
Kerry was asked about whether the U.S. government had failed to adequately engage Irans government before the election of hard-liner Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in 2005.
Kerry said the Bush administration has failed in addressing a number of foreign policy issues.
When we walk away from global warming, Kyoto, when we are irresponsibly slow in moving toward AIDS in Africa, when we dont advance and live up to our own rhetoric and standards, we set a terrible message of duplicity and hypocrisy, Kerry said.
So we have a crisis of confidence in the Middle East in the world, really. Ive never seen our country as isolated, as much as a sort of international pariah for a number of reasons as it is today.
Kerry criticized what he called the unfortunate habit of Americans to see the world exclusively through an American lens.
The Bush administration walked away from Kyoto? Methinks the Senator is revising history:
On July 25, 1997, before the Kyoto Protocol was finalized (although it had been fully negotiated, and a penultimate draft was finished), the U.S. Senate unanimously passed by a 950 vote the Byrd-Hagel Resolution (S. Res. 98), which stated the sense of the Senate was that the United States should not be a signatory to any protocol that did not include binding targets and timetables for developing as well as industrialized nations or would result in serious harm to the economy of the United States. On November 12, 1998, Vice President Al Gore symbolically signed the protocol. Both Gore and Senator Joseph Lieberman indicated that the protocol would not be acted upon in the Senate until there was participation by the developing nations. The Clinton Administration never submitted the protocol to the Senate for ratification. . . .
The current President, George W. Bush, has indicated that he does not intend to submit the treaty for ratification, not because he does not support the Kyoto principles, but because of the exemption granted to China (the worlds second largest emitter of carbon dioxide). Bush also opposes the treaty because of the strain he believes the treaty would put on the economy; he emphasizes the uncertainties which he asserts are present in the climate change issue.
It was a unanimous Senate (with five abstainers) as well as the Clinton administration who walked away from Kyoto. The current administration walked away from Kyoto as well, but for the same reasons as the Clinton administration. Kerry himself, in fact, voted for the Byrd-Hagel Resolution to keep us out of Kyoto. Yet here he is now, a decade later, dishonestly accusing the current administration of isolating this country from the world on an issue like Kyoto that Kerry himself opposed for the very same reasons the Bush administration opposes it.
Why should we believe anything that comes out of this guys mouth? Its bad enough that hes sitting next to one of Americas enemies bad mouthing his own country, but hes flat-out lying in what hes saying as well.
Oh, and stopping off to give an autograph to a guy who supports executing gays for being gay is a real nice touch. But dont expect any of the gay rights groups to hold Kerry accountable for that, though.
I assume he said this in his usual arrogant Ted Baxter-like voice?
"What the? He has the same voice as me!"
I can't believe that Kerry would diss France at a meeting like this.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
Kerry made a mistake running for President, more people are listening to him. His image will suffer.
His term as Senator ends in 2009. I swear, if this treasonous SOB is re-elected, I think Mass. should be forcibly removed from the Union. Just cut that hunk of land off into he sea.
Would you expect anything different from the "back-stabbing SOB" named John Kerry?
Where's mah sandals? It's time to start waving them again.
No, he slammed the U.S. of A.
I vote that JFK pops up when looking up "scumbag traitor" in Wikipedia.
Could Kerry please take a long ski run off a short mountain?
"I swear, if this treasonous SOB is re-elected, I think Mass. should be forcibly removed from the Union."
I think they'd vote the treasonous dork back into office even if he up and moved to France full time.
Kerry demonstrates, once again, why he has failed at being a mature, positive, successful human being. The face he shows is the weasely, mealy-mouthed elitist who lives in the shadows of greatness, unable to acheive any success on his own, but who lives off other's achievements. Each time he has the opportunity to stand up and be a man, he chooses, intead to be a coward, and to side with evil. He has lost his soul to the devil and his heart is black and hardened. He belongs to satan and finds comfort in striking out at those who believe in doing the right thing. He will lower himself further into hell by continuing to lash out at everything positive...he will continue to tell lies, pretend to be something he is not, live wothout regard to others who achieve personal success, and will use his hatred to fuel his pursuit to destroy anything he finds incongruent with his shallow set of values. Satan licks at his hindquarters and he has no rest, no peace. HE is really is the lonely pariah.
John Kerry hates America and Americans for a very good reason.
We didn't have the good sense to elect him to his just desserts -- the Presidency of the United States.
Arrogant, self-absorbed bastard that he is...
And then these Democrats claim we call them traitors merely for disagreeing with the war or through only acting in the role of loyal opposition. Nope, John Kerry illustrates perfectly why we think they're traitors, as he's now basically spoken what the rest of them only dare think: contempt for the US and its military. I have to give Horseface credit for honesty at least, while the rest of them continue the laughable pretense of being loyal Americans while their rhetoric and actions speak of their being disloyal 5th columnist seditionists.
Kerry shouldn't even be allowed back in the country. During other national war efforts, this vermin would have been imprisoned for sedition, and rightly so.
To think this America hater came within only 130,000 votes of being president. Truly scary. And speaks of how lacking in judgment Americans are that so many voted for a guy with a long and storied history of attacking America, with these latest remarks belittling military service people and now basically lumping America in with North Korea, Iran and Saddam's regime as being "parriah nations." To think a man with such contempt for America nearly became president.
By the way, can you imagine the media ignoring a Republican Senator calling America a "parriah" nation and the media not crucifying him during a Democratic-run war, such as say during Kosovo in the 90s? The media would have called him a fascist and disloyal, rightly so. But Kerry as usual along with the rest of the Party of Evil is given a pass.
If the State Dept. had any cojones they would send him a letter describing his behavior as a "self-alienating act".
IMHO..If the State Dept. had any cojones They would not let Kerry back into the country.
