Updated D.C. Chapter Locations for Counter of Anti-American Rally and March 1/27/07

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic has obtained permits for two locations in downtown Washington tomorrow to counter-protest the anti-American rally and march being held there by United for Peace and Justice and Code Pink.

We'll be across the street from the Navy Memorial from 8 a.m. until sometime after the 10 a.m. start of the Jane Fonda led Code Pink rally at the memorial. Our permit is for the sidewalk in front of the Archives on the south side of Pennsylvania Avenue between 7th and 9th Streets, NW. Details here.

After that, we'll regroup at Upper Senate Park on Capitol Hill. We have a permit for that park for a counter-protest of the march by United for Peace and Justice that is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. after their rally on the Mall.

The march route obtained by UFPJ is, well....let me have them explain it:

1 pm -- March steps off from 3rd Street and Jefferson Drive, NW. We will take 3rd Street north to Constitution, the east on Constitution to 1st Street, NE, then south to East Capital Street. At that point we will make a U-turn in the street and head north on 1st Street to Constitution. The march will proceed west on Constitution to 1st Street, NW, where we will head south, passing between the Reflecting Pool and the West Lawn of the Capitol. The march will pick up Maryland Ave., heading west until it intersects with Independence and then going west to 4th Street. We will then turn north on 4th and end up back on the Mall.

Yes, the march will double back on itself. This means that unlike other marches, most of us will have a chance to see and be inspired by the stream of contingents from all over the nation. We will be on three sides of the Capitol building sending our message loud and clear: This war must end now!

This means we'll have lots of fun with the moonbats. We'll be there all afternoon until their march is done passing us by, and passing us by again.

Upper Senate Park is located at Constitution Avenue and Delaware Avenue, NE, directly across from the Senate side of the Capitol and right next to the Russell Senate Office Building. It's about two blocks south of Union Station.

Please bring American and service flags, as well as signs supporting our troops and their victory in the war on terror in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

Ya'll have fun tomorrow, you hear???

I am SO jealous of all of the opportunities you guys have for counterprotesting.

HOWEVER, I am thinking it might be time to not have a "counter" protest..but a REAL PROTEST against our GOP Senators...

They are really letting the POTUS/CIC, the military, Gen. Petraeus, and we, the American citizens that are for VICTORY in Iraq, DOWN.

I forgot to add the Gold Star Families..they are letting them down also.

They'll respond when we stand up. Not enough of us are doing that. But we're holding the line as best we can until we get reinforcements.

Bless you...I know you are.

You guys in the DC Chapter have to carry such a large burden...and we Freepers in the west, too far away to travel as we would like to...owe you guys a HUGH DEBT!!

All I can say is I would be there...I will be there in spirit..but, like you said, you need reinforcments...a "surge" so to speak.

I am saving pennies...my "protest" money...hoping to save enough to finance some trips to DC or wherever..I am sorry I am not there this weekend.

I appreciate that. I just wish more D.C. area conservatives would get active, especially at times like this.

Laura Ingraham interviewed Leslie Cagan of United for Peace & Justice on Friday's radio show.

Laura's first question, "Leslie, are you a Communist?"

Leslie's answer began with, "Well, I don't like to use labels..."

Y'all be careful out there. I'll be watching the leftist freak show on C-Span...

.

NEVER FORGET

Communist LESLIE CAGAN sounded just like NANCY PELOSI, CINDY SHEEHAN & JANE FONDA today on The LAURA INGRAHAM Show.

JANE FONDA will sound just like LESLIE CAGAN in Washington, D.C. tomorrow.

CINDY SHEEHAM will sound just like LESLIE CAGAN in Los Angeles tomorrow.

For...
...the Enemy is Within...
...and always has been.

NEVER FORGET

"After that, we'll regroup at Upper Senate Park on Capitol Hill."

Where is Upper Senate Park in relationship to the Capitol? East? No clue here.

Due North of the Capitol. Literally across the street from it. Between the Capitol and Union Station.

This not directed to you individually but to all Freepers in good standing. Get to a busy street coner in your home town with a sign supporting the troops and saying no to cut and run.

These bastards want to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory just like Vietnam. JimWeb didn't want to talk about the war he fought in because he couldn't stand that analogy.

Their march route sounds to be a serpigenous one, which isn't too surprising as they are led by spineless reptiles.

I got all my chores done last night and will be loading up and heading out soon. Advance team is already there.

See you there!
