That makes a great deal of sense. They were sophisticated enough to get by at least two check points. They also had to know the security routine of US forces.

Maybe, but maybe they were Iranians, Persians, not Arabs. There's a slight possibility they were Chechen or Albanian Muslims who look European. Might even have had some Black Muslims from Africa in the mix. We just don't know yet.
