San Francesspool.
Typical S.F. The building has stood empty and unused (and generating little or no tax revenue) for 37 years in the heart of a wealthy, densely-developed city. Somebody finally comes up with the money and a plan to use the building and the "activists" all cry "No, not that! I want something else!"
That neighborhood is pretty decrepit.
The people who live there are mostly illegal aliens, there's a housing project, and some bohemians.
I don't see why they have a problem with it. Will do more research into who is having a problem with it.
Ok, I see.
The only reason the "community" is up in arms about it is because the greedy profiteers, aka "non profits" wanted the Mayor to buy it for them and turn it into another housing project for illegals.

The real story.
P.S. Is this place near the Endup Club?
No.
That's on, I believe 6th and...Harrison, and is a gay club.
I think you're right. It's looking the wrong way.
Hi I just moved AWAY from SF.
I'm in Sonoma County now.
I also have a Bay Area Republican group on livejournal.
