Pelosi in Iraq to see for herself how war is going

U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi (news, bio, voting record), an outspoken critic of U.S. President George Bush's plan to send more troops to Iraq, arrived in Baghdad on Friday for talks with U.S. and Iraqi officials.

Pelosi, a key player in the Democratic takeover of Congress, has helped lead opposition in Washington to Bush's retooled Iraq strategy which envisages sending 21,500 reinforcements to help quell raging sectarian violence, especially in Baghdad.

She has accused Bush, a long-time foe, of playing politics with soldiers' lives and said after his State of the Union address to Congress this week that he had ignored the concerns of the American public over the unpopular war.

A U.S. embassy official said Pelosi, the first woman speaker of the House, had arrived in Iraq at the head of a six-member congressional delegation for meetings with Iraqi and U.S. officials but did not plan any public appearances.

The delegation includes John Murtha (news, bio, voting record), a Democratic Congressman from Pennsylvania, who has also been vocal in his criticism of the Bush administration's handling of the war.

Oh, I cannot wait to see the pictures. Do you think the troops will just LOVE Pelosi and Murtha? Maybe they could add Cindy Sheehan to their parade.

You can bet this duo, Pelosi and Murtha, will not be visiting the troops.

Nancy, why don't you live in a burqa for awhile to see how you'll like it when you come back and surrender us all over to Osama?

So now the "bad mouthers" want to travel there, get a photo op with soldiers whose mission they bad mouth, who will have to drop everything they do so they can tap dance for Pelosi and her entourage of stooges in Baghdad. I'm sure we will soon see pictures of Pelosi with soldiers, all smiling just like Peolsi. Then the soldier loving liberals (who always have an up to date count of dead Americans in their pocket for a quick argument of why Bush is bad) will come back and distort what they saw, talk only of those things that fit their agenda, and accomplish absolutely nothing other than wasting our time.

Just a year ago January 2006 Murtha received the award from Code Pink -- the group that harasses wounded soldiers and their families at Walter Reed Military Hospital!

Nancy P and John-John won't need guards in Baghdad...

The terrorists know which side of the bread is buttered!

Like Kerry, bet they'll find themselves eating by themselves in near empty chow halls.

But, we won't see pictures of that....

Pelosi and Murtha in Iraq to "see how the war is going?" Don't bet on it!!

They are in Iraq seeking whatever flimsy evidence they can dig up to support surrendering as soon as possible.

Democrats cannot allow a victory now, after their staunch opposition for so long. If we were to win, the world would see the Democrats have been wrong all along.
