Here is the latest ranting from the mouth foaming leftist radicals in San Diego...
"Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 2pm
Demonstration at Horton Plaza 4th and Broadway, Downtown San Diego
NOT ONE MORE DEATH
NOT ONE MORE DOLLAR
NOT ONE MORE DAY
End the War on Iraq! Bring the Troops Home Now! The US occupation of Iraq is the greatest source of violence in Iraq today. Only the immediate and complete withdrawal of US and other occupation troops will clear the path for Iraqis to determine their own future. We need to bring our sons and daughters home now.
Join with us at Horton Plaza (4th and Broadway, downtown San Diego) at 2pm on Saturday, January 27th in coordination with demonstrations in Washington DC, San Francisco, and elsewhere in the US. Bring your signs, flags, and banners. Make and distribute your own leaflets and flyers. Bring your friends, your co-workers, and your fellow students..."
Apparently the San Diego Coalition for Peace and Justice will be joined by fellow fruitcakes from the International Socialist Organization, Code Pink and the other usual suspects.
You can rest assured that with this crowd of hippie burnouts, bathing and personal hygiene will be optional on Saturday!
ping
Please do.
Show posters of Vietnamese hanging from helicopters.
I have a friend who was the son of a Vietnamese Colonel. After we abandoned them, his father went to a "re-education camp" never to be seen again. My friend spent 45 days on a boat with 115 people passing a coffee can to use as a toilet before he found his way to freedom.
Abandoning the Iraqis will be much worse. Not only will they die by the hundreds of thousands, we will be feeding those who will bring nukes to North America.
Somehow the Iraq War protests with their geriatric hippies and unwashed freaks turn out a tiny fraction compared to the Vietnam protests of the 60's and 70's. The difference is there's no draft this time. The so-called "antiwar movement" 35 and 40 years ago was really an anti-conscription movement. Nobody really opposed war, they just opposed the inconvenience of being in the war. A few years after the end of the draft when Cambodia fell to the Khmer Rouge and millions were slaughtered, the "war protesters" were nowhere to be seen.
Hi Dog, Are you and other PWs going.
This is less than 2 miles from my apt.
Send me a FRmail
and I can see what I can do at my end.
As you know I and other FReepers have been with your group
on a number of occasions.
I am sick of hearing about California. I read on FOX that they are going to refuse to buy energy from any polluting source. Do you know what that means? They are goihng to try to buy all the clean energy from WA State and drive up our power prices. California can fall into the ocean for all I care. I hope that our unelected govenor will stop it, but I doubt it.
NOT ONE MORE DOLLAR
NOT ONE MORE DAY
Pathetic crowd. Will they hold their breaths 'till their faces turn code pink?
I'd guess I saw more protesters while driving through Mendicino County back in March '03 than will show up for this rally. Heck, even Nazi Pelosi doesn't care to be associated with them at this point in time. She and the rest of her rat pack know backing protests at this time could backfire. (ie. they fear Bush and Gen. Petraeus might actually succeed!)
Hugo Chavez stated in his UN devil-sulfur speech that San Diego was full of antiwar protestors. I guess that makes these freaks his people.
Yes, they are definitely Hugo's people. Generalisimo Chavez really, really hates war (wars that the USA might win, that is).
Let em protest war in a war zone, not in some all you can smoke fudge monkey city.
It is we in Calif. who are paying for the healthcare, education, etc. of the illegals so you can have cheaper prices for food & Cheap labor.
Time to close the border.
San Diego also has the largest amount of military in the U.S.
This is San Diego, not San Francisco
It's a Navy/Marine town. US Naval Station San Diego, Coronado Amphibious Base, Marine Recruit Depot San Diego, and Marine Corps Air Station Miramar , formerly Miramar Naval Air Station.
But then San Francisco was once a Military town too.
It amazes me that they hold this crap and pretend to care about the troops abroad. All the while forgetting, of course, that every soldier stationed in Iraq at the moment is there by his or her own volition.
That every single one of them must believe that in some way, fighting in Iraq is the single best thing that they could do with his life.
Don't let a single one of them get away with the lie that they care. They clearly don't.
I wish I was still in Orange County, or I'd be there. Memphis is a bit of a commute...
Did they ask the Iraqis first?
Hmmm, let's change a couple of words and see how it plays:
End the War on Viet Nam! Bring the Troops Home Now! The US occupation of Viet Nam is the greatest source of violence in Viet Nam today. Only the immediate and complete withdrawal of US and other occupation troops will clear the path for Vietnamese to determine their own future. We need to bring our sons and daughters home now.
What happened the last time the Democrats took power and pursued their anti-American Leftist agenda? Viet Nam was taken over by the commies. Up to a million were killed in the re-education camps. A million or more people were driven from the country, taking desperate measures to gain freedom from the commies, remember the term "the Boat People".
The Commies in Cambodia forcibly emptied the cities and drove the entire population into the countryside. Over the period of a couple of years, the commies killed about a third of the population, until the Vietnamese commies invaded and installed a puppet government. In the past decade, the Vietnamese commies have taken baby steps towards capitalism, because socialism simply is not sustainable. The Vietnamese people are among the most pro-American on the planet, because they want freedom and prosperity. The "boat people" who made to America have a higher GNP than the remaining nation of Viet Nam.
So, which was the better option for the people of Viet Nam, winning the war or losing the war against the Americans? As some Russian said, communism is the longest path from capitalism to capitalism.
The same people who advocated for American defeat in Viet Nam, which resulted in a holocaust are advocating for American defeat in Iraq. Every Iraqi knows that this will also result in a holocaust. The "anti-War" movement aren't against war. And they could care less of the lives or real people. They'd just as well see millions dead.
The only explanation is a psychological explanation. The anti-War people are psychically stunted. They have morbid feelings of guilt. They have become perverse self-haters. The project this self-hatred onto hate objects: Bush, America, Israel, corporations. All of the self-haters activities are not aimed at having an effect in the real world, the effect desired is a mitigation of their own guilty feelings.
The activities don't work. They don't mitigate the guilt. They just provoke more and greater feelings of hatred. Some of these stunted people become dangerous and become terrorists. Others of these stunted people become US Senators and Congressmen.
Sure wish we could be there with all of you!
When I lived in So. Cal., everyone was only too happy to hire the illegals to clean their houses and do their lawn work. It perpetuated the situation until they were over run with illegals and the illegals were competing right along side of the legal contrators. Californians have always been too greedy for their own good.
Build your own damn energy plants.
*Sure wish we could be there with all of you!*
I know you would be there also.
You and L were always so helpful and showing your support
for the Military here.
