I paid no attention to Pelosi the first time. I caught the speech again later and noticed the blinking. I just figured she was either self-conscious or had contacts.
I'm glad I missed it the first time through.

BTW, I rewound the tape and was grossed out by the blinks and the lips-teeth-tongue-nervous tic actions of Madame Speaker. It was disgusting to watch. Good thing I had taped a piece of paper over her image as the SoTU began.
I figured out she was blinking in morse code.
The message was 'Bush's Fault!'

Nancy Pelosi is like a nervous little snippy chihuahua.
People also blink a lot when they are trying to assimilate information. Blinking supposedly helps the brain interpret and incorporate new data.
Probably hard NOT to blink when your skin is stretched to the breaking point.
I think that's not very accurate- all of the big liars and con people I've known never showed any of those characteristics.

I can't believe everyone is missing the obvious. Nancy Pelosi was in fact so happy with the President. That she was simply smiling. A Botox smile shows in your eyes. In the form of rapid insane blinking. Besides its the only part of her face that she can still use.

Just as I can't concentrate to read if there is much noise nearby, I can't concentrate on our esteemed president speaking if The Nancy is in the frame. IOW, I had to take protective measures!
What amazes me is that this made it into a news item on the Internet, which clearly means it annoyed / bothered / grossed out a whole lotta millions of other viewers. I think if we started calling her Shifty Pelosi, people would find a reason to understand it now.
