In my old neighborhood in Orange County, it was not unusual to see coyotes going down the street in the early morning. It was also not unusual for them to attack small dogs and cats!
I remember one hot summer night driving on Mullholland above Studio City....we had the windows down and one run up next to us in the car and kept pace until he ran town a trail. It was surreal. I liked hearing them yelp.
