Thanks for the ping. I've been watching the story and have two items to remark on - first, that the SOB was shown the door in record time (if that is, in fact, verified) and second, that the poor Sergeant has had his mailbox clobbered by, er, well, by us, and will very likely be sitting on a mound of donated mats wondering what the heck happened.
Before the Internet, do you know what would have happened? Nothing. That was what happened during Vietnam.

I just went to their web site. This is what I found:
Discount-Mats.com is Experiencing Technical Difficulties... If you are inquiring about your order, please contact us via phone or email.
Thank you for your understanding & patience.

I heard they were gonna hire the Dixie Chicks to do their next promotion.
You sure can dig a deep hole real fast these days.

What a snarky reply to the Sgt. Thrilled that the employee was fired
The punk is probably getting high-fives from all his lice-infested supporters right now.
Good for the company for firing him.

I haven't seen or heard anything about this - but it sounds like the business is run by muslims? I wonder if they were primarily into the sales of PRAYER mats?

According to the radio this AM, nobody got fired. "Disciplined" was the word they used, and the radio said that this company has o employees. The so-called employee is a Pakistani who lives in West Allis, WI and manages a mail drop. All of the stock is in a warehouse in Ohio. The web site is run out of his home. The claims of harrassment targeted at bloggers, etc., seem to be a ploy by this 20 year old to gain sympathy and representation by the ACLU attys.

The "business" is just one of several "businesses" ran by 24-year old Faisal Khetani out of his parents' house in Greenfield, Wisconsin. All of the "businesses" are nothing more than web sites and drop ship their merchandise from the suppliers. I'll bet no one was "fired." Just some CYA young Faisal down in the basement.
Lots more detail here (read the second half of the comments):

The infamous "rubber b!tch". I never humped one. The weight and hassle just never seemed worth it,even if you could scrounge one.
I have a nephew in Ramadi and from what little I've talked to him the grunts haven't changed much. Showers, clean utilities and hot chow are few and far between.

You sound like you were in the Crotch, you guy's humped more than you really needed to, comment from all my Marine Pals.
I was in Basic with the supply Clerk, and when you got a foot of Monsoon Rain and were in the rubber being off of the ground was king of good.
