NEW YORK (AP) -- The man accused of kidnapping two Missouri boys and holding one of them for four years said life was good for him during that period, a newspaper reported Sunday. In two 15-minute interviews at the Franklin County Jail in Union, Missouri, Michael Devlin told The New York Post his own parents, who live nearby, have not visited him since his arrest earlier this month. "I don't know how I'm going to explain myself to my parents," Devlin, 41, told the Post in his first public comments since his arrest, aside from a brief court appearance.

Ok, more weirdness coming out. If he lived close to his parents, why did they non suspect something? From this story, it looks like he had a relationship with his parents. Story gets flakier by the day...

He was adopted into a large family - it is not clear how old he may have been when adopted. Perhaps he and his adoptive parents did not have a close relationship.
I also heard Fox news reporting that "he was lonely because all his friends were getting married"

Devlin, evidently visited his parents at their home, did odd jobs for them and they must have seen him often enough that they didn't feel the need to go his apartment ever in four years.
They are probably just now putting the peices together.
If he can't talk about whether he's interested in women because it relates to the case, that would seem to say something; but it's still oblique.
I don't care if he's crying into his pillow every night...He kidnapped two kids for his pleasure....Lock his butt up and throw away the key. Case Closed.

And he is too ashamed to call his parents or family. Why? I would ask why? If he is not guilty as he has pleaded, why is he ashamed??????
exactly, if he hasn't done anything wrong and knows he is innocent why would he be so ashamed to call and talk to his mom and dad. Pathetic! This guy is guilty as sin and is going down big time.
I hear his lawyers are going to ask a judge to stop interviews of Devlin from the media! Wonder why? lol!

Devlins parents obviously do not feel the need to visit him in jail either. The article states that nobody in his family has visited him since his arrest.

I don't know what really happened here, but I do know that Jesus Christ is LORD and I pray He will mend and heal this family.
Apparently the jail is also close to his parents and they still are not coming. Poor guy. So much lonliness.

Also, two boys claim they were kidnapped and in fact their parents call the police saying they are missing, and the boys are found with the person they claimed kidnapped them, it would seem to say that in fact two boys were kidnapped.
My point in posting this story was to question how his parents could not know he had a kid living with him for 4 years. From what I gathered in the article, they lived close, and it sounds like they had a relationship. so, how could they not know he had this kid? Why didn't they question the relationship, or at least ask where the kid came from.
