SACRAMENTO — A new bill wants to outlaw parents from spanking their children. The assemblywoman sponsoring the measure wants to protect those who can't defend themselves, but is it taking governing too far?
Spanking is a touchy issue for many people. Some use it. Others don't. An assemblywoman wants to ban all forms, even a slap on the hand.
Speaker Pro Temp Sally Lieber plans to introduce a bill that would ban any form of spanking on kids less than three years old. That's includes spanking hands, faces or bottoms. Lieber said, "That would include slapping spanking smacking hitting punching, any striking of a child."
Lieber said, "The borders begin to blur and there ought to be a bright line in the law that says no hitting a child 3 years or under."
We found parents on both sides of the spanking issue, but many, whether they agreed with spanking or not, felt the government shouldn't tell parents how to parent.
Karen Fontaine is both a parent and grandparent. She said, "What else are they going to do next, are they going to take over and raise our children?"
Kary Mansu is also a parent, "I think it's a moral issue, how do you put a moral issue into no law and law, how do you control it?"
The countries that currently have entirely outlawed spankning, From Wipikeida. Funny, none of the English speaking countries have outlawed it ....yet.
Well, this woman deserves a good beating.
In a word: YES.
Okay, sounds like a great idea. But it needs some lawyereeze to solidify: She means a child between the ages of 0 and 3 years old. Younger than 0, and the usual spanking, maiming and killing are still okay.
To people like Sally Lieber, freedom is a dated concept. Oh, I read her BIO. One "politically astute" cat, no kids.

also..disciplining or training in any form, or crossing the will of the little darlings.
Does that mean the kids will have something to look forward to on their third birthday?

Miss Fontaine has it. They intend to enforce the next step of the communists/nazi doctrine...its called cradle to grave.
All the women who pushed for fem' ideals will now become brood mares for the state. The state will determine who and which stud you can be matched with.

I don't spank. I don't even throw things. At my age, the wits are deadly and sufficient. But to outlaw the practice? That's wrong. Some kids need a good buffing on a regular basis, to maintain a high luster. Others, just the credible threat of same is effective deterrence.
This is just another clip at the natural bonds between parents and children.

You forgot to mention that they also intend to put everyone of our kids on drugs as well.
Fret not. We'll let the schools raise the children then when little Johnny is out of control, the parents can sue the school.
