I wouldn't mind that at all, the problem is, he couldn't even get confirmed for U.N. Ambassador, how would he get confirmed SoS?

If we win every D Senate seat in '08, which is impossible, we still wouldn't have enough votes to keep the D's from blocking him.

He's probably an excellent choice. But first a Republican with the balls to nominate him must get elected. Then we need enough senators with spines to confirm him, in the face of withering attacks from the driveby's.
