Well, Deb was right...according to Rasmussen the President has dropped to 35% from 44 in just 2 days...I expected this from other pollsters, but not Ras....
Prayers for your friend and her family.
Prayers up for their family. I'm so sorry to hear that, Dolly.
I think they're ALL lying. Our media are worse than biased, they're dishonest.
Have you seen Howlin's post?
Which one...the Polling one or Nifong...lol...yes, I've seen them both..
I was elsewhere on the board when I got pinged here.
Sad news! :(
Prayers up for Stephen and Jenny.
I lost a family friend. She considered me her "son", since she and her husband made the decision years ago before getting married not to have kids. I'd usually spend a week a year with them, and I would help her with her computer problems and teach her new things to do on her computer.
She was 57. Died of a sudden heart attack while she and her husband were at a Christmas party on December 30th. She had been in the process of gathering all the little kids around to dance. Collapsed to the floor holding one child's hand and had a smile on her face.
There wasn't a person in her life she didn't care for or didn't look after. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to say good bye to her, or fulfill my promise to her to spend a week with her after I got back from Denmark.
Prayers for your friend, Jenny, Dolly.
That's awful.
God rest his soul.
I am glad they are spending the weekend out of town. They need to get out of that rat-race and recharge their batteries.
God bless them both.

THE PRESIDENT'S TEARS
New York Sun Editorial
January 12, 2007
Tears slid down the face of the president of America yesterday as he presented the nation's highest award for valor, the Medal of Honor, to a New Yorker, Jason Dunham, who had been a corporal of the Marines. We've already written about the award in these columns. What struck us yesterday as we watched the ceremony in the East Wing of the White House was the contrast between the posthumous honor for a man who did his duty way beyond its call and the spectacle of the Congress preparing to dig in its heels against an attack on the enemies who slew Dunham and are swarming against our ally in the democratically elected government of Iraq and, strategically, against our own country and Israel

WAR IN CONTEXT
INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY
Posted 1/11/2007
Global War On Terrorism: At its heart, the debate over President Bush's new strategy really is about the consequences of defeat. On this score, Bush is the realist. His critics have embraced a dangerous fantasy.
The president's speech to the nation Wednesday did what he needed it to do. It succinctly made his case for staying in Iraq and laid out a new military strategy that, unlike its predecessors, looks appropriate. It also nudged his political foes to come back with a response beyond partisanship.

I went to bed at a decent time for a change last night, and was "up-and-at-'em" EARLY this morning. LOL
As of this post, I am working on my second pot of coffee for the day.
Me too. They need a nice weekend together... away from the WH.
THANK YOU!
Very good, but I see your last post to me last night was at 3:00 A.M. ........lol.
There's three teary-eyed photos --- all posted on last night's Dose. I can't look at any of them without getting teary-eyed too.
