i was referreing to President Bush for the courage he has shown in taking the war to the enemy in spite of being reviled, disrespected, and lied about more than any President in history.

And the death of the Marine and the others that preceeded him is sad and tragic also.

It is tragic because of the stupidity of the American voters last November all their sacrifices will be in vain.

Ditto...I always admire him--he stands for what he believes in though it may not be the popular choice.

I've got no problem with him shedding a tear over a brave fallen hero when there are those out there who defile or defame the sacrifices our military members make on a daily basis. The President's tears speak volumes about who he is as a man, much like the anti-war, anti-troop protestors actions speak volumes about what they are.

My hero, Ronald Reagan, was a genuine American patriot, and he too loved our military. Liberals, like Pelosi, could care less about anything but power and ego. IMO, Liberals are a disgrace to our nation and our heritage.

And the Americans are too stupid to appreciate it.

That's a popular analysis on FR and may give some folks on the right a sense of superiority, but the truth is that this doesn't have much to do with stupidity one way or the other.

The Americans who don't appreciate it just haven't been convinced that they should appreciate it. This ultimately has to do with a failure of communication and persuasiveness on the part of the administration (for a variety of reasons).

Indeed, if folks were that stupid, it would be relatively easy to manipulate them to appreciate it. People aren't that stupid.

I've got you beat, I'll bet. My sister lives in Madison, too. She's a Lesbian, a Green Party member and a rabid, leftist FemiGnatzi.

So there, LOL! :)

You will NEVER see tears running out of Pelosi's eyes unless she fails in her Liberal mission to destroy our country. Now, that would bring tears to her eyes--losing power and not feeding her sick ego. She's all about tearing this country down and sucking up to our enemies. That list of slime wanting to destroy our country includes her Liberal cohorts as well.

I will just cite the reelection of Bill Clinton, the election and reelection of Hillary Clinton, the reelection of Ted Kennedy. John Kerry and other Democrats and say no more.

I do agree with you that the Administration could and should have done a better job of selling it.

You got that right.

It has been the wet dream of every liberal [I call them coimmunists] that the United States would lose the war in Iraq ant that the Continental United States would be attacked again.

And each time an Anerican Service Man/Woman loses their life they secretely [they cant do it openly yet]celebrate with joy.

I used not to care about politics but the Democrats[ again, I call them communists and socialists] of the Clinton regime taught me to hate. Now I despise them. Every time I hear of read about a Democrat dying I say "good one less traitor."

It's not about a stupid electorate. Inattentive at times, sure. But if you take a posture that they are smart when they agree with us, and stupid when they don't, you get the strange kind of self-reflexive nonsense that passes for liberal 'analysis.'

If we fail to convince people we are right, that's not evidence that they are stupid. It just means we didn't do a good enough job of convincing them we were right.

Is your clip from the Ron Brown funeral?

Yes, there's quite a contrast between the genuine tears of W and the phony tears of Bubba. Of course, no one in the MSM would ever let us in on that "secret."
