The article in Swedish. Translation as follows: The 19 year old Mirsad Bektasevic from Kungälv on the Swedish west coast today became the first Swedish citizen to be convicted of planning a terror crime in Europe. The Bonsniac court in Sarajevo sentenced him to prison for 15 years and 4 months.

Mr Bektaševic is also suspected of using the internet alias "Maximus" who acted as a Jihad recruiter from a web-server based in Sweden.
"Maximus" was under investigation by Swedish security police when Bektaševic was apprehended in Sarajevo. The investigation was eventually closed down - probably because it was assumed that Bektasevic would not be available to the Swedish justice system for a long time.
In Denmark another trial is under way where 4 Muslim immigrants are indicted of terror crimes in cooperation with Bektasevic.
That's just great. Here we go... First white, caucasian, Wahhabi extremists emerge out of Bosnia, not but a few years after the former Yugoslavia fiasco (thank you Clinton).
With a name like Mirsad Bektasevic, there is no way this guy is white, Caucasian or Swedish. There have been several stories about Muslims overrunning Sweden and imposing their ways on the natives. Just because this guy is from a town in Sweden, doesn't mean he's Swedish.
Yes, Mirsad Bektasevic, his mother and his brothers were all given refuge in Sweden 1992, and this is the thanks we get. Great, isn't it?
BTW, so far only one MSM outlet in Sweden has published his name. In all others is is just a "Swedish man". One wonders who they think they are protecting.

Ahhhh... but that's where you're wrong. He's not Swedish at all. He's a Bosnian Muslim that emigrated to Sweden, and, I guarantee you he's white and caucasian. Bosnian Muslims are not Arabs, but, descendants of slavic Serbs and Croats forcibly converted under Ottoman empire.

A Swedish citizen, but not the typical Nordic blond blue-eyed Lutheran one might expect to be representative of Sweden.
Muslims are still not a reliable part of any body of citizens anywhere. Not even in Islamic countries.

O yea that'll be a picnic! 15 years in a prison in a hellhole country. I bet I'll do wonders for his radicalisation. He can come out a 35 year old hardened islamic believer bent on revenge. If he survives, that is.
I suspect strongly that a Lutheran Swede is a very rare bird today.
The Bosnians were not forceably converted. They were willing converts to Islam for the most part, and were greatly rewarded by the Turks for it. They were given overlordship of the Christians and used it brutally for centuries. They also occasionally used the Albanians as their "hitmen," dispossessing and killing those who remained in the Christian faith.
They also facilitated the shipping of many Christian Slavs east to become slaves in Turkey. Any man, woman (especially the fair) or child was fair game.
As to the "why of it," it seems that at the time, the Bosnians were very unhappy with the Orthodox Church and were in heretical revolt against it, and took advantage of this marvelous opposrtunity to use Turkish power to crush the Serbs.
There are no "angels," in the Balkans, but it is not hard to cast the Muslim Bosnians and Albanians as "devils." They earned it.
For centuries, the Bosnians were the bureaucrats who collected it for the Turks in that part of the Ottoman Empire. The Albanians were the enforcers.
Need a more western example? Think of the persecution of the Irish by the English, in particular the Anti-Catholic Statutes that prevented a Catholic from owning land, or a horse worth more than 5 pounds, forced to tithe to the Anglican Church of Ireland, unable to vote, or serve on a jury, ineligible for school, etc. etc. etc. etc. Add instant death and exile into slavery, and you have a picture of The South Slavs (and Greece) under the Ottoman Empire.
Not hard to explain why the Serbs bear little love for their Bosnian cousins, and even less for the Albanians. And remember, the Turks were not driven out of Europe until the Italo-Turkish War of 1911, followed by the Balkan War of 1913, with decisive victories going to the Serbs and Montenegrins.
No argument about the Albanians - they're at best a tribal/warlord culture. And, there is no such thing as a 'Bosnian'. It's just an area, it it was mostly populated by slavic folk (Croats and Serbs), until the Ottoman empire brought the sword in the 14th century.
The choice was (as is today), convert or live as a second class citizen. Those that did, willingly or as to escape opression, went along with the Ottoman empire's main line, oppressing other Christians. They were Serbs, and Croats. Tho the current muslim population of that region cannot really be specifically blamed for the Bosnian War, nor are they even close (or were) to Albanians.
However, the events of the Bosnian war have radicalized a good number, and Saudi Wahhabi money pouring into the place doesn't exactly help.
Oh yes, I'm very familiar with the histories of the area, and many aspects of the Ottoman and muslim cultures.
All I'm saying is recent events have changed the things for much worse, and, I don't believe Bosnian Muslims to have been a treat or had much connection with radical islam until the Yugoslav wars of the 90s.
Of course, they want to be taken as Europeans, and wish the benefits of European Civilization. They are very poor Muslims indeed, to hear the Wahhabi tell it. Now they are stuck with a sizeable radical element they purposely imported to help them fight the Serbs.(Mujadehhin, Chechens, Saudis, al qaida, Taliban, Hizbullah, you name it.) Many disaffected Bosnian youths are attracted to these radicals. I have been to Sarajevo, and let me tell you, it is one very sophisticated (and very friendly) place. So pleasant that the Wahabbists will stop at nothing to "reform" it.
Bosnian radicals are the most dangerous component of Islam, IMHO, because they are European. That is, you could not tell a Bosnian from a Frenchman, a German, a Swede, an American, or a Belgian, etc. in an police lineup. All European Muslims need a swift kick in the keester right about now, and the Bosnians are no exception. This is a dirtball school of thought that has no place in any democratic western country.
