Memo to California sockpuppet Republicans

That brought this one back to mind. Thanks! ;-)

The deficit thingy lingers on,, it didn't have to, but then where would all the slop for the public feeding troughs come from?

Okay then, Arnold.
What non-liberal position have you taken lately?
If one were so inclined no to be partisan, a person would be right to assume you'd be taking positions from both sides.

At least we have a Republican, even if its a RINO. That is better than having a Democrat - bottom line.

I respectfully disagree with my fellow California freepers who believe a conservative Republican can win a California statewide race of significance.

Excerpts from Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's inaugural address:

AP

http://www.dailycomet.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070105/APN/701054315

"Every day has been an adventure. As a matter of fact, my escapes have been more hair-raising than anything I did in the movies."

---

"... The California historian Kevin Starr says that we must think of ourselves as belonging not just to the Republican Party or the Democratic Party but to the Party of California because California is a collective ideal worth preserving. The Party of California is beyond ideology and one to which all of us belong."

---

"Some pundits said that I won re-election because I co-opted the Democratic agenda. Some said that the Democratic Legislature, by working with me to increase the minimum wage or reform prescription drug costs, abandoned the Democratic nominee for governor. This is the kind of partisan thinking that frustrates the voters and diminishes our democracy. The people are disgusted with a mindset that would rather get nothing done than accomplish something through compromise."

---

"We don't need Republican roads or Democratic roads. We need roads. We don't need Republican health care or Democratic health care. We need health care. We don't need Republican clean air or Democratic clean air. We all breathe the same air."

---

"I believe we have the opportunity to move past partisanship ... to move past bipartisanship ... to post-partisanship. Post-partisanship is not simply Republicans and Democrats each bringing their proposals to the table and working out differences. Post-partisanship is Republicans and Democrats actively giving birth to new ideas together."

---

"Centrist does not mean weak. It does not mean watered down or warmed over. It means well-balanced and well-grounded. The American people are instinctively centrist, so should be our government."

Our Governor here in California is registered a Republican. More and more those rascally Kennedyites are finding a way into his psyche and he is resembling a Democrat more & more. We will eventually see him sell out to the Dems completely, while he tries to convince us that what we are SEEING is not really what is happening. We'll all stupid here in California, or haven't you heard?

Sorry Ahnold. The United States of America has a conservative governing document from our PAST. It was written by our Founding Fathers and theynamed it, the Constitution. Its a governing document of limited government, with the power residing in "we the people". America doesn't need some euro-socialist jerk-face dictating how he thinks we all should be governed. Not gonna happen, not now, not EVER!

Gone is his praise of Milton Friedman. Arnold would instead have us follow the welfare state ideology of Jürgen Habermas...

Arnold has turned so far ot the Left that full blown Marxism is acceptable in the Golden State. The next CA governor could be even more liberal Phil Angelidies.

Post-partisan? Aww shucks, that's what I told calcowgirl on the other thread what I thought of "centrism." If we don't have political parties or even ideologies anymore, its time to shut down our fund-raising drive and close Free Republic for good. The conservative era is over.

If you choose not to lead, then submit to the path of least resistance. It sure did open Arnold's eyes alright - in fact the only people I can think of who attended his second inauguration where people who like him, believe in nothing as the sine qua non of American politics.

He has already specified what he will do: raise taxes and regulate the CA economy to death. My two greatest political disappointments have been Arnold and GWB. One thing you can say about Arnold, he learned fast how to be a successful politician: stand for nothing in particular and promise the people that government can do everything for them at a bargain basement price. I am sure he studied "der Slickmeister" carefully. Guys like this have ruined the Republican Party for folks like me.

Under Schwarzenegger, California has set targets aimed at slashing the state's carbon dioxide emissions by 25 percent by the year 2020 and by another 80 percent by 2050.

How will the illegal aliens get to the welfare offices?
