you and your ilk...

I make a comment about your post and now it's all about "me and my ilk."

Talk about rabid hysterics.

The "reasonable solution" is clear and still possible -- to anyone who wants a solution. Close then border. Enforce existing laws. Then we can talk about what else if anything needs to be done.

"If you have not called or faxed your senators, congressmen or the White House, please do so right now."

I'm sure the Marines would be much happier, and better off with them.

Recommend a Freedom of Information Request be sent to US Customs and Border Protection asking for Report Number CBP-0020-07, Subject: Possible Mexican Military Incursion, Date 01/04/07, Reference 07-TCA-TUS-010407000038. Report is marked FOUO but I have a really difficult time determining how it can possibly be exempted from release.

This report includes the who, what, where and when.

Who has the ultimate say on what goes on, aside from us?

Well here it is in super slo-mo, for crying out loud!

That's my take on it. It's like screaming at the top of your lungs, but nothing comes out.

This is going to get ugly before I die.

Guardsmen overrun at the Border
----
We simply must stop the incitement. Putting guardsmen on the border is provocative. Once again U.S. policy causes serious problems and world wide concern. /sarc off

WRONG-WRONG-WRONG !
What we need to do is put our Active duty troops on OUR borders and let the sand fleas defend their own country!!!!

Their crime? Border Patrol must get permission to pursue, Ramos and Jose Compean did their duty without calling for permission first. In Iraq, pretty much the same thing is happening. It stands to reason that the NG must get permission first to fire on invaders. This is an outrage, just unbelievable. If you have not called or faxed your senators, congressmen or the White House, please do so right now. Texans should be up in arms over this and the court responsible for this utter travesty of justice.

I thought we had "Officers" in the military who were able able to make decisions and be backed by the military, simply because they were "Officers". From how the military has behaved and conducted themselves in Iraq, we know they are the real deal, and I have extreme confidence in those in uniform.

Iraq would be over and done with if the military was allowed to operate effectively. Our military is controlled by POLITICIANS, not by Officers with experience.

The NG troops down on the border are there for showboating politicians, not for effective control of our borders.

I have all the confidence also however, there are times past and present that the "officers" or those in command must seek the O.K. of Washington to engage in battle - one Marine said he and his men were being shot at but could not return fire until Hq. O.K. it. My advice is to send more men, unfetter them even if it means more civilian deaths - perhaps the Iraqis will see we mean business and lend a stronger hand in fighting the insurgents, most of whom are Iranians. If we fight seriously, and leave this Politically Correct war behind, I think the Iraqis will respond positively towards stabilizing their government and country. Harsh advice but no war was ever won by playing patty-cake with a murderous enemy. I am aware our brave military fight seriously quite often, but consistency counts.

The blame does lie in the lap of President Bush. He took an oath to defend the U.S. from foreign invaders and is not keeping his promise to us.

His promise to us? He didn't swear to us. He swore to God.

How could it be that the Guardsmens' position was overrun? Why didn't they call in a Broken Arrow and call a strike on their position?

B4, our elected will follow the others unless they hear from us - calling or faxing does count regardless of party. The elected don't like their voters, if there are enough of them paying attention, not to be in concert with them. I should know - as I write or fax daily and now get phone calls from their offices which I follow up on with thank you notes and "demands". Stay with the program and stay in close touch with those who were elected, not many Republicans in my case but as Chief Dan George said - "...we must perceiver".

Even if he did, it would be improper to render his own opinion on the matter. His job is to represent the White House to the press.

Don't kid yourself Enoch, this was Tony Snows position wayyyyyy before he took up the post at the WH. He's as worse a traitor than anything coming at US from the left. Blackbird.

So does anyone think gore or kerry or even hillary would have been a better choice to run the country?

THEY DON'T RESIDE IN THE WHITEHOUSE!!! Get it? Blackbird.

There is a lot of conjecture on this thread.

The NG did call for assistance. The Border Patrol arrived and an SRT was deployed. The event took place .76 miles North of the border. The intruders were tracked back to the border by the SRT.

Not only do we not secure our borders we willingly put our troops at risk. I think impeachment is in order.
