"When I hear celebratory gunfire going off for various things in Iraq, it reminds me of the Latin neighborhoods in Houston."

That was the first thing I thought of. I really am flabbergasted that no one does anything if it's going on here. It sounds dumb and naive, I'm sure, but I feel personally violated just learning about this. I'm glad I live where I do.

I'm grateful that the part of Houston I live in wouldn't put up with this stuff.

A few years ago, some idiot went out and shot his gun off into the air on New Year's Eve and one of the bullets killed his 7-year-old daughter.

I really hate this PC attitude that allows us to import these dangerous third-world customs. If the thrid-worlders are going to come to our country they need to:

Do it legally.

Abide by our laws and leave all that third-world crap back where they came from.
