Broncos right cornerback Darrent Williams was shot and killed this morning. After leaving a nightclub in a limousine, Williams was shot and killed near 11th and Grant in Denver. The team confirmed the death of Williams. A female passenger also was shot, according to a source familiar with Williams.

Williams was 24.

"I learned from the Denver Police Deprtment that this incident has occured," Williams' agent, Jeff Griffin said early Monday morning. "No other details have been released. I sincerely offer my condolences and feelings to his family."

Williams was the Broncos' starting right cornerback and played his final game for the team in a 26-23 overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers that eliminated Denver from the playoffs on New Year's Eve.

The remarks I made to Eaker about being out late referred to a difference between driving home late from working all night and partying at a (probably) rough club. Your post about kings and curfews has nothing to do with anything being discussed.

I never said anybody should be prohibited from doing anything. Just that partying late at night (in a rough area frequented by gangstas) was probably not a good idea. Offering an opinion is hardly the same as claiming to be king.

At least you were able to increase your post count by one, but you accomplished little else.

Until black cultural "leaders" address this culture of guns and rap, this is going to go on. Way too many black teens and early twenties types today dress like thugs, talk like thugs, and move like thugs, until they become...thuglike.

Yeah, they should ban gangsta rap and baggy pants. (sarc) Why do I care? These kids don't vote, and if they did, they sure wouldn't vote Republican. They've been brainwashed into believing that the guy with the R next to his name wants to take away Grandma's SS check and poison the environment.

The poor man was probably just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Having said that...

It's funny how athletes who are home reading their daughter a bedtime story and then watching a movie never have this happen to them.
