I see Queenie throwing a Big 'RAT tax on "Big Oil." Guess who is going to be paying that new two dollar a gallon tax? The bozo on the cover of Time's "Person of the Year" issue. That's who.
They will of course be the first to complain when the price of oil goes up in response and as our dependency on foreign oil becomes even greater. But it is what the people voted for, and I hope they enjoy it.

And when we have gasoline shortages....they'll blame it on the oil companies. And when the pump price goes up to new heights...they'll blame it on the oil companies. And when government-funded "research" efforts only create massive new bureaucracies overrun by graft and corruption, they'll blame it on... the Republicans (who won't respond). It's just a sneak attack on CONSUMERS, which is no more than YET ANOTHER hidden tax....pay at the pump.
I suggest that the oil companies distribute all their extra money to the stockholders immediately.
Then they can plead poverty when the Dems come around.
When gasoline prices and natural gas prices go up, we'll know who to blame--the Democrats, with their anti-business policies.
Last time Democrats went after big oil (1980's) Jimmy Carter) our dependence on foreign oil went up over 30%.
Prices more than doubled.
