I don't know what they are complaining about. There is no evidence that feeding pomengranate juice injures the mice or rabbits that are supposedly being used by Pom Labs. If anything, these critters must be be enjoying healthier lives because of the gourmet diet.

Never tasted that crap, did you? Vivisection is one thing, but forced-feeding of POM is just plain cruel.

The law needs to land on these extremists.

Pom is packed with anti-oxidants and is supposed to lower your cholesterol. Sounds like "torture" to me!

Injure? Hell, as long as rats and mice aren't outright poisoned by a compound in it, like dogs are by grapes, they prolly LOVE it...and it's likely better for them than lab blocks! Every rat I owned adored sweet or tasty things and would be in heaven if you gave them juice. Mine would lick drops of juice from my hand if offered, or drink from a bottle cap with obvious enjoyment.

Pull all the POM product off the shelf. Arrest the creeps and feed them the product until all the stock is exhausted. Bill them for the materials and lodging. Let them experience the consequences they intended for others.

I like pomengranate juice and my favorite brand is POM. I can't believe these kooks would poison the bottles.

"...the diarrhea, vomiting and headaches will hopefully send a strong message that people will no longer allow innocent defenseless animals to be tormented..."

But it's OK to torment innocent defenseless people with diarrhea, vomiting, and headaches... /s

It's time to go seriously nuclear if/when terrorists start poisoning the food supply. I doubt that these clowns actually did what they threatened (probably just trying to get the product pulled from shelves for testing, or discouraging the public from buying it), but if they did they should be treated just like Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, or any other Muzzie terrorists. If fact, even Muzzie terrorists haven't gone after the food supply, yet. Even suicide bombers have to eat.

>"Those who drink the contaminated juice won't die like the animals in pom labs, but the diarrhea, vomiting and headaches will hopefully send a strong message that people will no longer allow innocent defenseless animals...

Yeah, possibly. Or "the diarrhea, vomiting and headaches will hopefully send a strong message that certain environmental extremist groups need to be shut down and their members need to be imprisoned.".

It could really go either way.

No, there's no such thing as ecoterrorism. Libs told me it doesn't exist. If poisioning our food supply isn't harming innocent civillians, I don't know what is.

The North American Animal Liberation Press Office distributed a communiqué it received that claimed credit for the juice poisoning and was signed "animal rights militia."
What's a communiqué? Is that a rock with a note tied to it thrown through a window? Why does UPI report it as a communiqué instead of how responsibility for all other terrorist acts the world over are acknowledged?

Last distinct reference that I can remember to anybody sending communiqué's was pertaining to the Symbionese Liberation Army. I believe that the Red Brigade used communiqué's too. I don't recall anybody ever getting a communiqué from the Uni-bomber, and I don't ever recalling communiqué's being received by Al-Jazeera from Hamas, or Hiz'b'allah, or any other terrorist organization.

I don't get why UPI is reporting a communiqué concerning this.

Anyone that poisons the food supply is a terrorist of the vilest kind and should be shot with great prejudice.

I used to drink POM, but I just heard that POM tests its juice on animals! At first I couldn’t believe it, but then I looked it up and found info on www.PomHorrible.com. POM is suffocating baby mice and cutting off their heads! I found out that Naked, Frutzzo, Lakewood, and Old Orchard make a pomegranate juice, too, which are just as good, cheaper, and not tested on animals.-Lindsay-
