Many killed in attacks on eastern Chad villages
Radio Netherlands ^ | December 19 2006

Twenty people have reportedly been killed in attacks on two villages in eastern Chad. There were several Sudanese refugees from a nearby UN refugee camp among the dead. The attackers, who were identified as Janjaweed militiamen, burned down houses and mutilated villagers. Eight militiamen and nine soldiers were killed in a subsequent clash with Chadian security forces. Eastern Chad has been the target of Janjaweed attacks carried out from Darfur for some time. In recent weeks, there have also been clashes between Chad's Arab and black communities.

Looks like Radio Netherlands and The Los Angeles Times work from
the same style manual.
Don't use the words "Muslims" or "Islamic" to identify murderous thugs.
Even when the victims are also Muslims.

It's very one-sided. Most wars are, at first.

It's pretty disturbing watching this spread across Africa. I wonder if the french have noticed that the radicals will be knocking on the door of the countries with heavy french involvement in a few years.

Well, it's been going on for a long time and nobody seems to care. It's in Somalia and Ethiopia now, and maybe that will get some attention.

Chad is a former French colony. My bet is that the French intervene.

Its already happened. There have been huge massacres by the moslem fanatics in Algeria, Tunisa and Morocco. That's been going on for years. It just doesn't make the news and the UN couldn't care less - 'cause 40 plus countries there have moslem majorities.

Throughout Africa the moslems are systematically killing Christians and others. Meanwhile breaking news in the United States is: Miss USA cried her way to a second chance. Or Paris Hilton is marketing a new fragrance.

While Rome burned.......Nero fiddled away...with his remote and his IPod.

Nothing there that an M240G and a belt of 7.62 couldn't fix.
