I still check that cam out every morning before sunrise, to look for new hotspots. Haven't seen any in quite awhile, but she is still active apparently. Cool.

I guess some experienced mountain climbers ought to go check it out before the next bad weather rolls in....< /sarc>

We just happened to have the tv on when the infamous foxnewsblong! went off...followed by "This just breaking on Fox, Mt. St. Helens has erupted." Instantly everyone jumped from their chairs and ran to the TV....only to find pictures of the Mountain having spit up a little.
We all feel like idiots.
That said, I think they would have had an on-air coronary the first time it happened. That was something to get out of the warm, comfy chair for.

One of these days she will blow that lava plug like a bullet, but it might not be in our lifetimes.

Well, at least the area isn't under attack from those massive pteradactyl sized flies!

No significant quakes. But thanks for the alert. Not sure what the wind direction is now, but I know it's not due north.

Actually I'm sure it's just atmospheric conditions making the steam plume more visible - really no change from the mountain itself.
Pretty lame by Fox.
