I've been refraining from saying what I thought about Newt in deference to those freepers who think the world of him.

LOLOL.....thank you for setting me free! Newt has been sucking up to her heinous for a long time now.

My guess is that those FBI files just keep on coming.

>>Do you think they [TIME magazine] sat around and 'loved' the idea of Hitler, or called him an 'icon'.

Actually, yes. In 1938 he was their pick.

Absolutely. People have got to realize who the "bad guys" are...It's the 'rats. Political control is an end unto itself among the 'rats...they spew populism to gain that control.

I think that we need to take a look at the difference between negotiation and capitulation. I see no harm in negotiating on things like the budget. I see great harm in capitulating on foreign policy and the war on terror.

Democrats have lost my trust with their behavior. I cannot forsee them getting it back in my lifetime.

Perhaps we can ask those millions of Americans who are classified as 'obese' to share their wealth with the starving. See.....problem solved.

Take away from the haves and give to the havenots.

That's surprising. One would think running from the gangs and police, as well as hiding from the drive by shootings they'd get a lot of exercise.

I watched Senator Kennedy on Fox News with Chris Wallace. I note that the Senator describes President Buchanan as the worst President in our history.

To be noted, is President Buchanan was a Democrat and Wikipedia describes his basic problem as:

"...In his inaugural address, besides promising not to run again, Buchanan referred to the territorial question as "happily, a matter of but little practical importance" since the Supreme Court was about to settle it "speedily and finally." Two days later, Chief Justice Roger B. Taney delivered the Dred Scott Decision, asserting that Congress had no constitutional power to exclude slavery in the territories. Much of Taney’s written judgment is widely interpreted as obiter dictum — statements made by a judge that are unnecessary to the outcome of the case, which in this case, while they delighted Southerners, created a furor in the North. Buchanan was widely believed to have been personally involved in the outcome of the case, with many Northerners recalling Taney whispering to Buchanan during Buchanan's inauguration. Buchanan wished to see the territorial question resolved by the Supreme Court. To further this, Buchanan personally lobbied his fellow Pennsylvanian Justice Robert Cooper Grier to vote with the majority in that case to uphold the right of owning slave property. Abraham Lincoln denounced him as an accomplice of the Slave Power, which Lincoln saw as a conspiracy of slave owners to seize control of the federal government and nationalize slavery. Buchanan's friends did a poor job defending him...."

As usual, the Democrats used SCOTUS to pass the necessary legislation to satisfy the Democrats. Note the Democrats affirmed slavery and could not be shaken from it untill 700,000 fell.

Gives one pause to wonder! Things don't change. Slavery then, political serfdom now! SCOTUS to write the law!

Chris is just trying to get back his creds with the left. He shot himself in the foot bigtime with his bubba interview and is trying to make amends.

He's such an a$$, it's painful to watch.

partisanship having now become pathological. It really is worse than it's ever been, and I put this right at the Clinton's doorstep

Al Gore should share some blame too. He should have conceded and not put this country in such turmoil in the 2000 elections. Both Clinton & Gore care more about themselves than their country.

...and many 'reasonable' rank and file democrats agree with you...the 'rats are not to be trusted with foreign policy or national security.

The liberals should stick to interior design, acting, music, sculpture and painting, fashion design, etc.

Kennedy touting Dem plans to support our troops. Wallace asks what they plan to do. Kennedy chuckles, "Wait and see."

They have been saying that for years
