5 points hardly counts.

But since we're playing that game, perhaps I should suggest that veggies may be "smarter" in IQ but they obviously lack common sense.

My twin brother and I, and my younger sister all did that as well. Our IQ's (though I really don't put a lot of stock in it) are well above average, my sister's being the highest at about 155.

Imagine my surpise when I see my 11 month-old daughter begin to do the same thing. =)

Isn't a great part of the brain's composition fat?

If you eat meat, you get stuck in Iraq.

Wasn't there some high profile Brit vegetarian proponent who died recently of malnutrition?

...actually measure intelligence when nobody's ever really defined it.

Many years ago a vegan friend of mine was making her morning smoothie in an old fashioned blender. She lost the tips of 2 of her fingers trying to stuff the fruits down into the blades with her hand. Very, very smart but absolutely no COMMON SENSE.

Let's see.

On the one hand, some of these folks had 20 years of steaks, BBQ, chicken, ribs, pork chops, and hamburgers.

And the other folks had 5 points on their IQ score.

Tough choice....

"they paid NO attention to WHEN the conversion happened"

eggsactly

In the formative years (before age 10)these kids were probably fed all the protein (milk, eggs, fish, meat, cheese)they needed for brain development. Then they went to college, where they were "brain washed" into going "veggie".

Thereafter, their brains were "maintained" on the veggie diet.

Science? I think not!

pre-selected polling drivel? I think so

My son-in-law is a dentist. He says that he can spot vegetarians in a heartbeat when he does dental exams. Typically vegetarians have lots more dental problems than people whose diet includes meat.

Wonder how well the study was conducted. Vegeterarians tend to have more money and education. Their kids would benefit from that.
