The New School was originally formed as the New School for Social Research, it occupies several buildings in New York. I first heard of them in college, they sent me a bunch of material about their Jazz and Contemporary Music programs. They had a big list of guest artists and artists-in-residence, sounded like a good program. But I joined the Marines instead...
