The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says there can be little doubt that humans are responsible for warming the planet, but the organisation has reduced its overall estimate of this effect by 25 per cent.

75% poppycock is still poppycock!

BumPing!

If it's the UN, it's 100% poopiecock.

Even if GW were real, there is no reasonable scenario under which it would be anything other than beneficial. It might even counteract the obvious cooling that has been taking place at an alarming rate.

Uh, oh, the UN and the Telegraph are going to be getting threatening letters from Rockefeller and Snowe, just like EXXON. They'd better be careful what they say about global warming. The left will probably claim that EXXON financed the UN's studies also.

My, My. So maybe it's good we didn't have a knee jerk reaction to those previous reports, and cause economic difficulties for some of the developing nations, and the people in them.

Interesting....
"Global warming" is a con-job orchestrated by the global socialists, and the global socialists are supported by the UN. And now the UN appears to be undercutting the global socialists. I wonder what the game is?

Such a rise would be enough to take average summer temperatures in Britain to those seen during the 2003 heatwave, when August temperatures reached a record-breaking 38 C.

I wonder what 38 C means in real temperature? Over a 100?

"There needs to be better data before billions of pounds are siphoned off the top for policy measures that may have little impact," he said.

All fixed, but too late! ;)

However, Julian Morris, executive director of the International Policy Network, urged governments to be cautious. "There needs to be better data before billions of pounds are spent on policy measures that may have little impact," he said.

Somebody please tell Boxer and Schwarzenegger.

Well imagine that. Our elected political leaders bought right into the U>N> GW spewage and de-industrialized the nation. Now the U>N> says well it's not as bad as we thought? The morons. One natural event at anytime and likely to happen can effect the environment more than man will in the next 100 years.

PREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPOSTEROUS!!!

Doesn't anybody remember a year or so ago, the New Zealand sheep ranchers revolted when N.Z. tried to tax them on flatulence being passed by their sheep?

I'll never forget their hilarious chant as they did a smashing demonstration...
"WE WON'T PAY YOUR FART TAX... NO (BLEEPIN) WAY!!!" (It started at high pitch, coming down the scale to the work "TAX" and up with "NO," then down with (BLEEPIN) and back up with "WAY!!!")

Everytime they repeated it I just cracked up!!!

Hey! We've got life-long, dyed in the wool Replickuns goin over the cliff with this "government by crisis" so they can then become bigshots as they pretend to lead us all back to safety!!! (and away from our constitution, traditions and sovereignty!!!)

I wish it weren't so, but you can't lay this farce completely off on the Demonicrats!!! They're getting help from people that should certainly know better!!! Sad day in the mornin... Well, look at Arnoiled, for starters!!!

Interesting how, after the Democrats win an election, all these major problems seem to fade away.

Best line of the thread. NAILED IT!

Admin: Is there a Global Warming ping list?

To all others, I've got several simple observations that kill the pagan/diabolic "Global Warming" heresy. (if I'm wrong, I'm open to correction)

Before the subject was trashed into a halfbaked humor category, I've found Global Warming alarmist websites that touted the advantages of deserts. Their twisted concept was that deserts reflect heat back into space and save the planet by cooling the earth! Wow! Then upon that logic, how about we cut down the rain forests, convert them into deserts, and save the planet!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31FFTx6AKmU

England's "Monster Raving Loony Party" satirically promises it's voters to move the UK closer to the Mediterranean so that the country can enjoy longer summers and warmer winters. The reality is that Global Warming alarmist supports politics against the existence of man. "Vote for me and I'll change the weather for you!" But what is the sensible, or scientific observation?

Specific Heat

The specific heat is the amount of heat per unit mass required to raise the temperature by one degree Celsius.

What is the specific heat of water?

What is the specific heat of sand?

http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/thermo/spht.html

The specific heat of water is 1 calorie/gram °C = 4.186 joule/gram °C which is higher than any other common substance.

http://hypertextbook.com/physics/thermal/heat-sensible/

The specific heat of is sand 835 cp (J/kg·K). From the above link, liquid water (at 20 °C) is 4181.8 and for liquid water at 40 °C it is 4178.5.

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hurricanes/archives/2006/sst_clues.html

What heats the world so much? Substances that absorb and transfer the sun's heat to cooler regions in the world.

I've been trying to find the specific heat of smog and pollution. There are certainly many types of sand in the world, just as there are many types of smog/pollution. But let's look at the volumes of what and where the world is choking the skies and raising temperatures.

First, let's kill Global Warming's Glass Ceiling heresy: THERE IS NO GLASS CEILING ABOVE OUR PLANET! When ice water melts, it becomes liquid. When liquid water vaporizes, it becomes...uh...vapor. Gas expands when it's heated. If heated gas is contained, it's pressure rises as it's temperature rises. Now, I've never been to outer space, but I'm pretty sure that there's no glass ceiling that keeps our melted ice from vaporizing and thus flooding the planet (i.e. no "Waterworld" movie scenario as interesting the science fiction concept might be).

"What If All the Ice Melts?" Myths and Realities; by Wm. Robert Johnston

Above is a view of the lower 48 states of the United States with a 66-meter-higher sea level.

Besides the frustrations of office politics and conspiracy theories of hitting a glass ceiling, the original vision of the "glass ceiling" is what condemned spirits and souls see in Hell. Hell's gates cannot rise higher than their glass ceiling. I suspect this because Revelations talks about a throne seated upon a "sea of glass". But for our realm, a heated atmosphere filled with water vapor expands while gravity keeps it earthbound.

If the specific heat for vaporizing water were but slightly higher, or if melting ice were a bit lower, then I'm sure that we'd be a world of flooding troubles. However, we have more evidence to point to Intelligent Design then we do evidence to entertain the fallacies of an absence of God randomness...THANK GOD! Likewise, if gravity were slightly stronger, out planet would have fallen into the sun ages ago. If gravity were slightly weaker, earth would have escaped the sun's gravitational pull. Thus, the balance of God's creation lends more to our spectacular existence due to His Will and Mercy.

Back to sand of the world:

If we only get fed from the MSM, we'd believe that pollution warming the Atlantic is the only source of hurricanes because much of the what is reported is only and barely skin deep.

The above photo is a site that studies sea temperatures, but Time Magazine twists facts to prop its politics and sales:

Time: "Global Warming: The Culprit? Evidence mounts that human activity is helping fuel these monster hurricanes"

I point at Time, but I've even seen the witch hunt against mankind extent to even auto magazines condemning those interested in combustible transportation! (granted, they were European auto magazines)

First too be honest about pollution, let's look at photos of smog in the USA:

Humid, hot, stagnant air combined with industrial emissions in the upper Midwest to create a thick blanket of haze over the area in September 2002.

With Hurricane Gustav off North Carolina blocking the eastward flow of air to the Atlantic, the air pollution spread southward to Texas.

I hate smog like anyone else. The cleaner we can burn fuel the better.

So, if we're to remain honest about heat transfer, then let's look at sand:

This is a sandstorm from North Africa blown into the Atlantic. Because of solar forces as well as earth's rotation and its revolution around the sun, the winds along the Equator will blow from East to West (unless God chooses to change the major forces around the world, solar system, and universe). Thus, sandstorms from North Africa will blow into the Atlantic and towards the Western Hemisphere.

The sandstorm reaches the Canary Islands which are West of the African continent.

Coriolis Effect:

Because we live on a spheroid (sphere like) planet, and because the sun heats the surface unequally, and because the earth rotates on its axis, and because we revolve around the sun, wind patterns shear or bend as described by the above image. Remember too, that weather is three dimensional. What happens at the surface is different for what happens at high altitude (that's why meteorologists examine the 500 mb charts very closely).

We can't blame North Africa for all of sand. So let's look further East. Here's a series of photos from Jedda, Saudi Arabia:

Sandstorm in the Persian Gulf:

Sandstorm between Pakistan and India:

Sandstorm in Central Asia:

Sandstorm effecting Beijing, China:

It's not often that men interested in money and power will purposefully burn off what makes them rich. Here's a satellite photo of burning oil fields in Kuwait, thanks to Saddam (retreating from Coalition forces):

If those who love paganism and earth first would think like capitalists for a minute, smoke is a waste of money. It's because smoke is the incomplete combustion of a burning substance. Thus, smoke is inefficiency and inefficiency is both a drop of production and profit. "BIG OIL" does not want to lose a single drop of oil into the oceans because that drop equals lost wealth. On an individual scale, think about the cost of a dripping faucet in the bathroom.

My hypothesis is that mankind's inaction rather than action produces unfavorable weather events. After offending God being the principal example of bringing cataclysmic events, ignoring the need to irrigate life throughout the world has poured destructive storms onto the surface of the planet.

There are many dry places in the world. American has deserts too. Here's an aerial photo of the American Southwest:

America's deserts are small compared to the rest of the world: Not all of the earth is green. Beyond the chaos of nature rebelling against fallen man, there are social and political reasons why wastelands remain dry and even grow. Given the long periods of neglect and/or absence of the human presence, earth worshipers cannot blame President Bush. His Texas ranch doesn't even compare to the Sahara or Gobi or Saudi Arabian peninsula.

Deserts must be irrigated because sand doesn't even support bugs in a long term future. Here's a satellite photo of irrigation in the desert:

This is a satellite photo of Israel. The green line in the sand makes for an obvious border. The man made Suez Canal is on the West (left) side of the photo.

Natural irrigation and mankind's cultivation from the Nile river.

I don't blame Communists and Jihadists for having enough knowledge to make the 2005 Atlantic Hurricane Season so miserable for the Americas. I blame the devil. But there are obvious physical relations of human politics that keep mankind's efforts from taking dominion of our planet--and it is OUR planet.

To the credit of nations burdened under diabolic politics, most prefer the pragmatic responsibility of agriculture via irrigation. Some nations ignorantly use improper methods of agriculture. Here's a satellite photo of Indonesia's massive slash and burning of its forests back in 1997:

http://www.gsfc.nasa.gov/gsfc/earth/pictures/2001/0315ozone/indo/wide.mov

I put more suspicion upon Antichrists who make an enemy of mankind because we're created in the image of God. There are politics against irrigation for the sake of halting life, especially human life. This gives evidence to the fact that if Satan cannot kill our soul, he'll sabotage human efforts by spreading misery.

Thus, Baptizing the world takes on a very real physical presence and blessing. Its lack thereof is catastrophic and its consequences are real.
