I am sure you are right but in 1960 during a trip to England I had the chance to visit a small tower where The Queen and her family stayed next to Balmoral Castle in the north of England. If I remember correctly, they stayed there when work was being done on Balmoral. I was surprised at how little and cramped and down right seedy it was (for a queen to stay in). It was a tower with a curved staircase in the center and three rooms on each floor and with probably 4 floors, not counting the ground floor. I mean, honestly, where would the servants stay? LOL!
