So that the underclass (the have-nots, the downtrodden, the marginalized, etc) can take money, property and lives from the privileged (haves, oppressors, etc)

Somehow a guy renting a room in someone's house does not strike me as a "have, oppressor, etc". But, maybe he "had" something they wanted!

A friend of mine who was in law enforcement claimed that a Remington 870 pump was a great gun for home defence. Hard to miss, and he claimed that the sound of a round being chambered was one any perp could recognize and was in itself a great deterent.

The city of Newburgh is the town where Orange County dumps it's welfare tenants and the only people seeing a lifestyle improvement are the Slum Lords with political connections.

Wouldn't it make more sense to "dump" welfare tenants in the Big City where work is available, leaving them no excuse for idleness?

Cheap: Any variation on the Winchester M1300. Can be had with ~20" open choke barrels.

Expensive: Benelli semi-auto. Recoil operated, can eat anything, doesn't jam, handles very well. Can be had with ~19" open choke barrel, and reasonable supply of accessories.

as for the police searching, they don't need much of a reason nowadays, it seems. maybe their SWAT team needs a new RV to paint scary black or something.

I seem to recall a couple of posters who would have advised the homeowner to lay on his belly if the home invaders had simply worn plastic badges and screamed "Police! Warrant!" while kicking down the door.

I always thought it was quite a profound statement that applies to a lot of situations, i.e. being too eager or emotional can keep one from obtaining ones goal.

Doesn't jam?! Everything, if made by man, can and will, at some point either jam or fail to function.

A more accurate statement is :"much less likely to jam".

I have an M3 (pump/semi) and have seen it "eat" almost every round, but IT HAS, and WILL AGAIN, fail to extract, fail to load, double load, and stove pipe every once in a while. You better practice, practice, practice and know your IRDs (Immediate Reaction Drills) to correct malfunctions, or be able to go to your backup weapon.

When you get that shotgun take it out and shoot it. Not just a few rounds one time. Do it often so that it becomes 'an old friend' with no suprises.
