Banglist ping
There's a Vancouver, WA where those who want to be close to Portland but don't want to have an income tax can live and shop sales tax free in OR. Perfect.
OOPS! Actually I know that and just had a brain fart!
For a second I thought that this was Vancouver, B.C., but then I came to my senses and remembered that if this happened in B.C. the homeowner would be in prison by now.
"Vancouver? I thought that guns were banned in Canada."
They pretty much are. I just had a buddy from Vancouver BC come and visit me just this past weekend. He joined me for a trip out to the edge of the woods along with my small arsenal to do some target shooting and was stupified that we could do such a thing much less own the firearms with a nice stockpile of ammo.
Pardon the pun but he had a blast.
Apparently the shooting range wasn't a top priority for either the burglars or the homeowner. On a serious note, it's easy to Monday Morning Quarterback when you're not being shot at.
I'm glad the man was armed.
I'm not sure if you've seen the show "Reno 911," but your comment reminded me of one of my favorite scenes:
[Jones reads a note in the bag of tacos he and Garcia ordered from a fast food taco joint]
Deputy S. Jones: Officers, there are two armed men inside.
Deputy James Garcia: I hope there are two-armed men in there. One-armed men wouldn't be able to serve tacos.
I'm not too big on what you are referring to. I'm glad the man was armed.
If I was King of the World, every law abiding citizen would be required to carry.
It works enough for me.
