I'll pass on this article.

With all the global warming and rising oceans, there should be more than enough to get us 'round. So long as the emissions don't smell like fish. I don't like to smell fish in the morning.

Cars that run on Bull Shit have a better chance of actually working.

Methane fuels have been proven, at least.

However, IPO's that are bullshit-fueled have been successful, especially in the last few decades.

I'm youtube impaired at work, but the other site talked about hydrogen fuel cells without any reference to where this magical hydrogen gas comes from. The energy to break hydrogen loose from other molecules has to come from somewhere, but most people pushing the "hydrogen economy" just wave their hands about that "minor" part.

This report, while slightly dated (2003) nails hydrogen very thoroughly and precisely. Unless these hydrogen engineers learn how to re-engineer hydrogen atoms, pure hydrogen never will be a practical fuel for general use. Rocket (space shuttle) fuel? Sure - it's nearly perfect. Light weight, high energy content, etc. But that big yellow tank that holds the fuel that lifts the space shuttle off the ground is filled with KEROSENE (and liquid oxygen!)

Download this report and send it to all of your hydrogen-head friends, and perhaps they will deflate enough to get their feet back on the ground!
