BTW, where I agree with you is that the home invasion thugs are indeed impersonating cops. THAT is a real risk.
I'll stick with the word tragedy here -- the tragedy is that both parties 'did the right thing.' The lady defended her property, and the police returned fire.
It just all sucks.
