Travel Question

Posted on 11/27/2006 8:52:38 PM PST by Rembrandt

Can anybody recommend a nice resort or hotel on the Gulf side of the upper coast of Honduras? I'm planning to fly there from Placencia (Belize) in a couple of months.

Much Grass.

How's Belize as a place to invest in real estate and live?

I've never been to Honduras Gary, but here's a link to travel tips for Honduras.

Dunno, but Belize was nice - the only country in Central America where English is the national language, and surprisingly home to a damn fine beer - Belikin. If you're a beer person, stock up.

I'm originally from Belize, hope you enjoy your stay in Placencia. Can't say I've ever been to Placencia, might go check it out next time I make a trip back home.
By the way, there was a show on VHI called Flavour of Love which I noticed was filmed in Placencia, I only tuned in to the show once.

Don't travel the road from San Pedro Sulla to the Mayan ruins at Copan. I traveled it in 2002 before I had read the State Department Advisory warning Americans about the threat posed by the Honduran police and the criminals. It was a dangerous stretch of highway.
