Liberals being responsible with government power and taxpayer money again, I see.

"It is a 4-wheel drive truck chaise that serves our purposes. We need a 4-wheel drive vehicle that will seat five people. The other physical requirement includes reasonable gas mileage."

:)
The Hummer was a necessity of course.

Look, the guy needs a Hummer. Do you realize how many hurricanes have devastated Vancouver WA?

Heck. In my neck of the woods there is a brand new car with government plates sitting in a parking lot of a local non profit. The car moves maybe once every two weeks. Makes me think that someone is spending down their annual government grant monies.

Nothing's too good for our hard-working public servants, men and women who are willing to labor thanklessly through the late morning, in light mist and slight humidity, enduring stale donuts and club coffee, and all for a mere six-figure salary, 16 weeks of vacation, and a pension that begins at age 45.

Now quit yer beefin' and go get another job. Papa needs a trip to Maui.

Government waste is the biggest joke ever. I used to live in Queens, I've seen the welfare office, nothing but new sneakers, the latest fashion, no sign of hunger anywhere.

Bill Clinton's first thought, "Did someone say hummer?"

Aww come on now. He is doing good for you using your money. Now what is so wrong with that. After all, he knows how best to spend your money on you.

Money For Low-Income Housing Spent On New Hummer

I guess if he sleeps in it, it could be considered low-income housing.

Cindy Stand and her disabled daughter get financial help from the Vancouver Housing Authority. Cindy thinks Creager's H-3 purchase is a foolish waste of money.

(Laughing) "I think if I had a choice, I'd rather put that down as a down payment on a house for all that money you're going to pay for a hummer."

You see, Cindy, here's the deal, it isn't your money, either....

The Hummer is pretty darned disgusting, but let's not overlook Cindy Stand's outraged sense of entitlement.

As compared to an aircraft carrier?

To tell you the truth, I'd rather live in a Hummer than in a housing project.

The Vancouver Housing Authority says it's executive director also drives the new H-3 for personal use, but per law, keeps track of that and pays taxes on it as a benefit.

Hey send over a new Cadillac Escalade, I'll gladly pay taxes on the miles I drive.

Sounds to me like a government parasite arguing with welfare parasites over who gets the confiscated loot.
When it's all said and done, I want my money back.

I rented an H3 for a week-long ski trip. It gets very poor gas mileage and is noisy as hell at highway speeds (you don't talk - you yell to have a conversation). Also hard to see out of it. It is good in snow, but I would rather spend that amount of money on a 4wd Lexus or Beemer.
