Two women walking behind the Golden Key Motel on Monday afternoon stumbled upon the body of a dead woman. When police arrived at approximately 3:00 p.m. they discovered three more dead women laying face down in a few inches of water in a drainage ditch. The investigation of the deaths stretched far into the night . Police cordoned off the area and flood lights were set up as investigators worked to uncover clues from the crime scene. Tall fragmities grass obscured the work area, but at least one body bag was observed being carried near the white Atlantic County Medical Examiner's Van that was parked in the marshy area behind the motel.
Autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday morning and a press conference will be held Tuesday afternoon with Atlantic County Prosecutor Jeffrey S. Blitz, according to the Prosecutor's Spokeswoman Janet Neidosek.
The bodies were discovered in a seedy area in the West Atlantic City section of Egg Harbor Township.

Mike Strug said during his report on the local news tonight that he heard the women were shot in the head, execution style. The police wouldn't confirm anything.

Jeez. Four women? Wish they had more detail but I imagine the case will be closed as "unsolved" and buried quickly, like the bodies.

Or a drug hit. Go one block away from the glitzy casinos are you're in a ghetto.

West Atlantic City section of Egg Harbor Township. At one times years ago this was a half way decent neighborhood
I wonder if the residents of NJ know the price they would pay for feeding an out of control greedy state government and criminal enterprises when they passed gambling legislation

That's a lot of women for a drug hit, but I guess that's possible. Sometimes a mob hit and a drug hit are one and the same.

Well it is about 20 miles from where I live. Some are speculating it there might be a serial killer, other wonder if it could be a part of a earlier event where a woman escaped from a prostitution ring and told authorities that they were being held against their will.

Could be a Serial Killer. The body's were not next to each other just in the same area behind different hotels. They didn't say how long each of the body's were there either. Could be a guy picking up what he considers an easy target who wont be missed right. The woman were most likely dumped in the water to get rid of any DNA evidence.
To: mewzilla
Thanks for the link. Looks like I might be right about the serial killer.
I wonder if this could link to the FL murders in Daytona? I am not 100% but I believe the killing stopped for a while, but from what has been released it sounds like a similar.
To: leadhead
They need to start checking that area as well for any similar murders. This is not looking good.
Hope they catch the guy soon, before this monster kills again.
To: leadhead
There is an area of Atlantic City that is NOT seedy?
