How did that Williams guy get reelected after having voted for Booger instead of the Republican for "Speaker of the Senate"?
Because Williams hasn't faced the electorate, yet. He isn't up again until 2008. Whether it's enough to defeat him is questionable, as we have several RINOs who unapologetically vote to support Speaker Boss Hogg Naifeh. I've had respect for Speaker Wilder, but his leadership in the past 2 years has been an embarrassment. His rank senility is on full display, and despite having had a few seat majority for this session, he ensures the minority 'Rats are effectively in complete charge of the important committees.
After 36 years of leading the body, a record unmatched by anyone else in any state, it's time for a change.
