Asians thrown off flight (UK - Muslims)
The Sun ^ | November 10, 2006 | By JOHN TROUP and TOM REILLY

COPS marched four Asian men off a plane after a passenger said their behaviour made him nervous.

The men — in Islamic robes — were arguing in a foreign language and then all went to the toilet, one after the other.

A fellow traveller on the Luton to Glasgow easyJet flight demanded they be kicked off — just as the plane was to taxi to the runway.

Cabin crew alerted the captain and cops were called, who took the men, all in their 20s, off the plane.

Everyone else on board was then ordered off with their hand luggage while the crew searched the cabin.

The jet took off an hour and ten minutes late at 10pm on Wednesday.

Another passenger said: “A Scottish bloke in his 20s who was sat beside them clearly thought something was up. He was arguing strongly that these lads were up to no good and should be taken off.

“Considering they had just got on a minute before, their behaviour was pretty bizarre. I think other people were worried.

“The men were all wearing jackets over long Islamic robes. They had beards and looked like Muslims.”

In August Asian students Sohail Ashraf, 21, and Khurram Zeb, 22, were thrown off a jet as passengers wrongly thought they were terrorists.

Good on the passengers. It's up to you us now to keep flights safe. The TSA certainly can't be counted on.

Another test of the system.

Yep. Both theirs *and* ours.

I'm in two minds - good that dodgy characters can be kicked off without fuss, bad that said dodgy character can now tell their equally dodgy friends the procedure.

Something's up with the trips to the bathroom. That seems to be a part of the routine.

Maybe Middle Easterners have weak bladders.

They were just being a**holes, teasing the other passengers to see what they could get away with. Maybe some "flight rage" on the part of the passengers would have been better than calling security to frog march them off the plane.

Really, a few accidental elbows in the eyes would probably cut down on this kind of stuff.

Remember the musicians.....about a dozen or so. Made some trips to the bathroom, starting laughing....They were in mid air.

I'd still open the door and throw them out....but that's me and my name is Battle Axe.

Keep a bag of pork rinds in your pocket when you fly. That way, if there are any goat-herders on board, you can start noisily eating them, and say "MMmmmmmm, Pork, I feel sorry for any muslims on board if there is a crash, the dust from these may keep them out of paradise"

I am suspecting that they might have been deliberately trying to stir up some trouble in order to play the victim card.

Perhaps for the rewards of a succesful lawsuit, or more sinister, causing passangers to keep quiet when there is a real threat occuring.

Cheers.

I'd wonder whether there were one or two other members of the group on the plane, dressed unobtrusively and simply observing carefully everything going on while the commotion took place.

I think we will continue to see them intentionally cause disturbances until everyone begins to ignore it. That is when we will be sorry we ignored it.

"Good on the passengers. It's up to you us now to keep flights safe. The TSA certainly can't be counted on."

Would you kindly tell me exactly what TSA should have done, within the law, that would have avoided the situation.

You will be graded on knowledge of the law and common sense.

That's my point. They would have made me take my shoes off while Ahmed and Co. slither right on through.

"They would have made me take my shoes off while Ahmed and Co. slither right on through."

Would removing their shoes kept them off the flight?
