LINCOLN, Nebraska — George McGovern, the former senator and 1972 Democratic presidential candidate, said he will meet with more than 60 members of Congress next week to recommend a strategy to remove U.S. troops from Iraq by June.

If Democrats don't take steps to end the war in Iraq soon, they won't be in power very long, McGovern told reporters Thursday before a speech at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

So, the democrats new direction emerges. Turns out, it is the same as their old direction. Take heart, the democrats won initial victories with this anti-war stance before only to have the consequences of their actions blow up in their faces. Go McGovern democrats and go hard. I am rooting for you.

Pat Cadell was right. The democrats would take power but only manage to hold it for two years because they're nuts.

McGovern told the audience Thursday that the Iraq and Vietnam wars were equally "foolish enterprises" and that the current threat of terrorism developed because — not before — the United States went into Iraq.

Wow and the moonbats probably believe that...pass the koolaid.

All the democrats can do is defend the war. They'll put the troops in mortal danger without funding. The troops will have no supplies. They'll be sitting ducks.

Between McGovern coming out to tell the DEMS how to run a war...

And Biden and Chafee announcing that "no way" is Bolton going to get confirmed...

I say that this is going to be FUN to watch..as long as Pres. Bush keeps his hardline on Iraq and the terrorists...

These DEMS cannot behave...they are SO excited about getting the "power", that they won't be able to hold back their normal inclination to do what YOU always say, Mo1

Let the overreaching begin!!! LOL

The minute the dems come up with their exit strategy for Iraq they'd better start working on the same for Afghanistan. Because, once they have given alQeada terrorists the template on how to defeat America with a combination of wanton killing, media support and liberal collaboration no place on earth will ever be terror free again.

"George McGovern to Discuss Iraq Exit Strategy With Democrats"

McGovern to Pelosi: When you have the troops leave Iraq make sure they hold their white flags in the left hand and bow three times to Mecca before they get on the planes.

Bush will sign executive orders extending essential services and Military funding, allowing the dims to shutdown government. Bush will hammer the dims as being at fault and not able to govern in America's best interest.

'toon did the same thing and it worked far too well against US.

Mr. McGovern lost every State except Massachusetts. And we know Massachusetts will vote for anybody. So this obviously qualifies him to give advice on Iraq. As I said before, the Democrats are suffering from Vietnam flashbacks. So they call in McGovern to solve the problem for them. Next, Jimmy Carter will negotiate with Iran.

Like the thread "Will Iraq be like Saigon?" it's obvious that the Democrats MUST do as their liberal constituency demands -- and pull out of Iraq.

I would guess by mid-summer next year we will start seeing a substantial pull-out of troops, and a measured defunding of the "War."

I outline this scenario at www.mygration.blogspot.com
