ACLU Applauds Rumsfeld?s Resignation, Calls for Immediate Investigation Into Dereliction of Duty
Stop The ACLU ^ | 10-Nov-06 | John Stephenson

Off we go into a new direction for America. You know we are off on the wrong foot towards the wrong direction when the changes taking place are cheered by the ACLU! If President Bush thinks nixing Rumsfeld is a way to finding common ground with the newly empowered Democrats will be enough to satisfy the hunger of the left, he should think again. The ACLU, no doubt speaking the mind of the new majority, want to see his head on a fancier platter.

The American Civil Liberties Union today applauded Donald Rumsfeld’s resignation from his post as Defense Secretary, and called on Congress to investigate the gross abuse of power committed under his watch.

"Donald Rumsfeld’s resignation is a step in the right direction," said Anthony D. Romero, ACLU Executive Director. "Rumsfeld is responsible for the torture and abuse of detainees in U. S. military custody and must be held accountable for the failures that occurred on his watch. He has placed the blame on junior military members and has been nothing but derelict in his duty. Congress must initiate an immediate and exhaustive investigation into his six-year-long record of unlawful activity, violations of the rule of law and complicity in the executive branch abuse of power."

I gotcha...but for a sec I thought you were pointing out a typo of mine. Understand and agree. The ACLU should be investigated. I doubt that will happen with the folks America just put in power.

The ACLU is an ongoing, continuous hate crime against America and her values.

I will not be sad on the day the leaders of the ACLU are either imprisoned or executed for their crimes.

Has anyone ever sent a reply back to the ACLU that simply said, "no"

We had 6 years to do something about this communist organization. But just like everything else that mattered we pissed it away.

Knocking a man down is one thing but kicking him while he is down is another. ACLU is finding new way to help the reputation of lawyers.

Besides, the ACLU can give Trotsky lessons on half-truths, Lies, revisionism and spin.

"Who's going to fight for us?"

Not the Republicans. When the Republicans were in control of both houses, and the White House, they complained of the Democrats being obstructionist, keeping them from getting anything done. Now that the Republicans only have the White House, suddenly we're talking about Democrats steamrolling and doing anything they want.

So why is it the Democrats will be more effective accomplishing their agenda with a slight lead in Congress, than the Republicans were with both houses and the White House?

And like Trotsky et al, the only thing that matters is winning.

As much as I dislike ACLU, I gotta hand it to them for staying on-topic.

Who's going to fight for us?

2 Chronicles 7:14

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Plain and simple....

The ACLU should definitely be investigated. Also, any funding they receive from our tax dollars should immediately be cut. I'm sure they'd have enough private donors to keep themselves up and promoting their Socialist agenda for at least a little while longer.

With Pelosi and her thugs in charge, the ACLU will play a big role in suing any Republican who stood in their way the past 6 years.

Thanks to the SoreA$$ financed BSers who pushed "Losing is the Greatest Thing in the world", there will be no stopping of this BS.

After Pelosi and her thugs are sworn in, the ACLU will target any conservative talk show host, blogger and web site host they see as a danger. Many of these war crime trials will be in Congress featured 24/7 by the MSM.

We will be an endangered species if not extinct by 2010, thanks to the SoreA$$ financed bsers, pushed "Losing is great!".
