WASHINGTON - House control at stake, President Bush campaigned Sunday in endangered Republican districts across GOP-friendly middle America. Rep. Nancy Pelosi (news, bio, voting record), hoping to become the first female speaker, stumped for Democratic challengers in the left-leaning Northeast.

"Here's the way I see it," Bush told a crowd inside an auditorium in Grand Island, Neb. "If the Democrats are so good about being the party of the opposition, let's just keep them in the opposition." Republicans are hoping their party's acclaimed get-out-the-vote operation can prevent a Democratic rout in a campaign marked by voter fury over the Iraq war.

voter fury over the Iraq war.

Oh, please. Quite a bit of editorializing going on, here. I don't think anyone other than the lib loonies or the dems who feel America should lose are "furious" over the war - tired, maybe; hoping for a decisive victory, certainly; saddened by the sacrifice, probably; but I don't equate these things with "fury." "Fury" is the whackos at DU.

the current spin is that GWB would have never went to campaign in those districts if they were "safe".

Could be, perhaps GWB was raising money and showing that he is not afraid to campaign at all. The moronomedia doesn't stop to consider if the candidates were doing that badly because of the War in Iraq, GWB showing up would hurt and not help those candidates.

And that is why they aren't yet able to figure out the surging polls in favor of Republicans.

I think Bush is baiting Pelosi so she'll crawl out of her cellar and scare off another 10,000 voters.

Why is Pelosi stumping in the "left-leaning dim districts"? Don't the rats already have those areas "in the bag"? LMAO. They can't be sure of their own blue districts anymore. Something is up, I'm telling ya.

The only stumpbreak I see is what shards are left of her nose, she resembles Whacko Jacko more and more.

You may be correct. I firmly believe that something is afoot. I can not put my finger on it, yet I know deep down in my bones that SOMEBODY is deflecting and obscuring the facts. I just do not have any proof today. I guarantee you this: We will all have the facts on Wednesday!
